A forest fire across the lakes from the theme park and safari, resulted in the Timberland Lake Campground being evacuated and raised the real possibility of the need to evacuate Great Adventure that day.  Safari operations were paused for a period of time and no evacuation of the theme park occurred as the fire was controlled.
