1980-12-21 Land Sale Unfair.jpg
Richard Switlik, son of philanthropists Stanley and Wanda Switlik, who sold much of the land for Great Adventure to Hardwicke Companies, Inc. for the park, voices his opposition to his parents having to sell their other real-estate holdings to pay the judgement awarded to GA in 1977. Ironically, the son was the primary family member advocating against the theme park's opening in 1974, throwing many roadblocks in the way of construction moving forward.
