The Penn-Central Corporation and Bally Manufacturing Corporation announce the sale of Six Flags Corporation by Penn-Central to Bally for $142 Million. Penn-Central is divesting itself of assets that no longer fit with the company's focus as a transportation company. Strangely, Six Flags was one of only a few of Penn-Central's companies that was profitable.
