I remember that there was a ton of in park work that had to be done to accommodate the fair. Not only did it take up the front part of the parking lot, but it also included in park facilities in the Garden of Eatin as well as enclosing both bumper car rides for exhibits. Work started almost after Fourth of July and went on for weeks.   Given the amount of effort, I’m not surprised that it didn’t last for more than two years.
