When Bally acquired the Great America (Gurnee, IL) park from Marriott Corporation in 1984, it also acquired the rights to Warner Bros. Looney Toons characters for all of its theme parks.  The new for 1984 Shirt Tales characters, were quickly replaced in 1985 at all of the Six Flags parks with Looney Toons characters.
