Great Adventure announced it's newest attraction for the 1990 season, the yet-to-be-named, stand-up roller-coaster (Shockwave), about four weeks before the close of the 1989 season.  Shockwave was part of the Six Flags ride rotation program and would be coming to the park from Six Flags Magic Mountain.
