1993-07-07 Signs Changed to SF.jpg

State erected directional signs to Great Adventure, most of which were erected during the park's 1974 opening season, were changed in June of 1993.  The new signs replaced "Great Adventure" with "Six Flags."  Apparently, the park requested that the State's Department of Transportation make the change to the signs and paid the State for doing so.
