The wind chill on Kingda Ka in this weather would be something.

I didn't make it to the last few weekends of FF. Did they have the giant pumpkin man made of hay bales this year? That was always a long standing tradition dating back to the late '80s.
I didn't see it. However, the only section I never went in during FF was Golden Kingdom, so it could have been over there for all I know.

I honestly didn't even realize they were gone and I went three times. That being said, I never really noticed them in past years.

^ Thanks!

Here's a video I made of the Fright Fest festivities, hope you all like it!

I was there on Friday as well. I basically got on everything I wanted to ride within the first hour and a half and just walked around with my camera and watched the shows after that. It was pretty crowded from 8 on. Unleashed and DMP even had pretty long lines waiting for the doors to open.

The hotdogs are not bad. But then again, how do you mess up a dog.
Simply purchasing cheap hotdogs with gross cartilage pieces in them is a great way to ruin a hotdog.

Jokers line was cut in half today by turning away every single rider. I get the business strategy of charging for lockers but it's getting insane.
Wait, is Joker no single riders now or something?

Looks like it's going to rain tomorrow with sun and temperatures up to 42 on Wednesday.
Only rain in the morning. It'll be fine by the time the park opens.

^ Wunderground says 55 and sunny for Jackson at 1pm. Sounds like the best day of the week to go.
Edit: 58 degrees

I was there last night. Not a bad crowd for such a cold night but little less than when I went on November 28th (which was a drizzly night in the 50 degree range.) Everything seemed to be running fine from what I saw.

Didn't they replace them with LEDs a few years ago? I remember that being a big story they touted about energy efficiency or whatever.
Pretty sure they're LEDs, just "normal" LEDs instead of the RGB ones. I too prefer the non-changing ones on the wheel. It would look too busy going through patterns, and it's behind trees for the most part anyway. The changing ones are good for when the wheel is the focal point or being used as a "light tower" to attract visitors.

I had to think through it myself, but I guess you're right. We've got them beat on major rides outside of Riddler's Revenge, but they make up a lot of ground on minor rides. Their lineup is a lot more family-friendly, which is something I hadn't really considered.
X2 > TM (> GL:FF)
TC < Toro
S:EFK = KK
Goliath < Nitro
RR > GL
B:TR = B:TR
LL:DOD = Jaro
Scream = Zarro
Pocky > SM
Gold Rusher > RMT
Ninja > BBLTT
Revolution > TDK
Viper ??
Whoa...too many shorthand names. Pocky? SFMM has a coaster themed after Japanese chocolate sticks?

I didn't get mine yet, but it'll be something like 12 years with a season pass for me.

The colors don't matter, a Free Spin is ugly to begin with and would have been better suited where Freefall was in my opinion.
-
We aren't getting an RMC. El Toro is basically on the same level as an RMC, if we were to get a Woodie we would get a GCI.
Probably not, but my point stands that it would look nice by the lake. Better than a Free Spin at least. lol
-
I'll tell you what, an RMC woody would look great on the lake.

Green Lantern and Bizarro are too similar to both be floorless. Sit down could work on GL, but it would still be too similar to Bizarro.
Personally, I've had no problems whatsoever on Green Lantern other than the harness being set too tight on occasion. I do bike quite a bit, which could be why I don't experience any leg pain after it.

Wrestling Card in a couple week's is in there. And Scott Hall is on the card, he can not always be "Family friendly". Shows up to alot of event's wrecked lately, alot of issues.
That's a shame. He was doing well with DDP but relapsed it seems.

Don't know about the lift, but I've been stuck in the brakes before for about 20 minutes before they came out and got us off the ride. They come out with a crank looking tool and lower each row of seats individually. Then they release the harnesses using another tool if I remember correctly.

^ Yeah, these rides are essentially riding compartments attached to a belt that spans the inside of the ring. I wouldn't worry about the tire drives squealing as I haven't even heard a carnival version make that sort of noise.

I think the theming GAdv has right now is fine and that they should keep it up. It's like when people think "theming" they think of Disney level stuff, but simply having a Spanish flare to the Spanish themed area or a western vibe to the western themed area is good enough. It's a lot nicer than the random rides in random areas thing that Cedar Fair parks have going on.
-
They might poo-poo on it and say that they've seen one at the local fair, but they'll still ride it in the end. Funny thing is that many of the flatrides at the park are also rides that one would find at a fair.

If Great Adventure ever did this then I would just stop going and not renew my season pass. It's just so ridiculous.
