Were you working Saturday? It seemed that it opened and closed about four times because of changing winds.

i was working at the superman saturday, but yeah when its windy, theres like no chance for the skyway to be open

About the skyway, it was down cuz of how windy it was, i know cuz i was working it, it never breaks down, its just when its windy(over 25mph) it will shut down for saftey

What is the ride rotation program?

They actually bring you down by rope and harness on the Skyway.Thats what they do at the San Diego Zoo and your up 190 feet.Same with Seaworld San Diego that is 90 feet above the water.A fireman climbs up one of the towers and shimmys aross the cable and attaches a rope.its very intense!

Actually we have back up engines if the ride stops and we cant restart it or the sudden loss of power in the park, so there would never be any situation like that with the ropes and harness, and if the back up didn't work, the ride would never open that day when the back up didn't work, there are procedure's like that lol

If anyone is here either today or on Saturday, I will be working at the Cables (not sure which end, although I'm normally assigned to Western) for the majority of the park's hours on both days. If you happen to see an attendant with "Matthew" on the nametag, feel free to say that you're from the forum and I will be sure to acknowledge you in return! and mike13 yes it does have the same music you should know they wont change it for anything, you know u did work there too , so dont be to harsh with my crew that works there now lol

i work this ride everyday, im sure you seen me, i just cant beleive how this ride has changed over the years, i love riding this ride

The six flags website is showing KIngda Ka closed for scheduled maintenance, does anyone have any insight on time frame for this closure?

until further notice is what i heard from the team members i asked when i was there yesterday

did anyone see it running yesterday........... i sure did

i just went there............. theres only one car on the track right now tomorrow there might be the train

"- Ka will be running three trains on one side of the station. This will improve capacity by 10%!"

 

Does this mean it will ONLY run three trains on one side or three trains on one side and one train on the other?

it means it will only be running on oneside with 3 trains, kind of like the nitro, station-waiting-and readys all one one side, thats it.

but it does it for both sides so just in case the right station is down for any reasons we can go to the left station

but we still have 4 trains but wont be running 4 trains

right, i cant wait to see what ride im going to get this year
