  1. It was boring, slow paced, corny, and lacked any real action. The “stunts” they did do were extremely fake. You have to throw a punch closer than three feet away to make it look even a little real.
  2. I like to consider myself an optimist, and can find some good in almost anything. An exception to this would be Operation Spy Girl at Six Flags Great America. That show was terrible. I could not wait for it to end.
  3. If they rehab it like they have done in the past they will take it down to just the legs. With the new lighting system, I would imagine they need to get to the contacts within the hub of the wheel and do an upgrade to the electrical contacts.
  4. Yup, I knew it was gone but not sure if it was ripped out or done carefully for relocation.
  5. It’s been reported that Revolution at Great America (our Pendulum) has been removed and demolished in the process. It is done.
  6. Although it’s hard to say for sure because they are far in the distance, but Collin’s drone footage from January 11 seems to show that the Skyride towers have part of their hardware missing, which would also include the cables. Hopefully it’s just maintenance. Here is a link to YouTube -

  9. In the spring of 2023 the list of new things for the season included Additional Amenities Two additional family restrooms located near family areas; Never happened.

  11. The Western Shoot Out was probably placed in the poorest location in the park as far as foot traffic. Most people who knew it was even there were Log Flume riders who spotted it from the ride.
  12. Check out this photo from 1978 of the Best of the West's Western Shootout. Much more ornate than in later years.
  13. Here is a photo from 1976 of the original Swiss Bob when the ride was located in Fun Fair. You can see the back panel of the 1976 guide map in the boy on the left's hand.
  14. It’s not too bad when you are familiar with the park but if it’s been several years since you have gone, it’s difficult to use only app. I visited Williamsburg on Thanksgiving weekend and stopped off at Busch Gardens one night. I missed not having a paper map because the app was awkward and hardly convenient for navigation.
  15. Mark is part of the new Marketing/PR team. Nice guy!
  16. The stage has been demolished. Should be interesting to see if the seats are next.
  17. I wouldn’t say chances are zero, but most likely are slim. Before we received the SkyScreamer, Six Flags was working with Intamin on designing an elevated swing ride using the tower. It was sort of a combination Condor ride with SkyScreamer swings. Stranger things have happened.
  18. I am surprised to see proposed food and retail outlets given how a lot of the current stands/shops are underutilized. Then again these could be as simple as movable Fill the Thrill soda stands.
  19. The idea to block Dream Street was Six Flags' doings. During their first season of ownership, they installed a landscaping barricade in 1978 long before the Paintball Building in 2004 or Jumpin' Jack Flash in 1999.
  20. I’d also like to see the missing cars reinstalled and the wheel take advantage of its maximum capacity when operating. Hopefully the new lighting package will last longer than those installed around 2009.
  21. The Log Flume is classic attraction which fewer and fewer parks offer today. The size and scope of the ride was impressive in 1974 and still one of the best versions to this day. It is a true signature attractions that is worth investing in for years to come.
  22. I do give the park credit for extending their season and being open select weekdays in the fall. I just think they would be better attended if the days they were open were communicated better and in advance.
