To be completely honest, I love holiday in the park as it is, but I feel like they stretched themselves a bit thin this year. I appreciate them adding "2" sections but I feel like to get those "2" new sections they made cuts to other areas in the park. Example would be taking th lights out of those trees, putting lights in the boardwalk on only a few trees and spotlights on the others, this was not just in boardwalk but movietown as well. There seemed to be a lot more dead space this year and missed opportunities for decorating. Even the parking tolls didn't have lights this year. i don't know if anyone else noticed but the shop windows were not as elaborately decorated this year nor did I really smell any of the scents like I did last year. Plus the entertainment options are a joke compared to other parks with holiday in the park. These are just few things I noticed and some minor gripes but overall a valiant effort by the park.

Harry since you seem to be in the know, is there any indication as to the why? Is this new person coming from within the company or elsewhere? Do you have any idea where John may be off too? Will Kristin still be communications manager?

The train on Harley will be loud and obnoxious, with a slight vibration due to the new paint on the tracks. Once it breaks in and wears down some of the paint, the noise should tone down. I know this because it was the same way on wicked cyclone and Alan Schillke told me it's the thick coat of paint on the track that causes this on newly painted coasters.

And to be honest, a coaster is the last thing great adventure needs at the moment!

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but, I heard that chiller is the next "eyesore" to be torn down and that grand stand and fort was just the beginning.

I wouldn't mind a nice flat package for the park...maybe some of the villain themed flats combined to make Movietown into Gotham

Well I will tell everyone what Fitzgerald said to me.... 1.The train was supposed to happen last year but with zumanjaro running so over budget that there was no more wiggle room. 2.about next years addition"you will flip head over heels" he also made it sound like a puke machine.....whatever those things mean 3. He also mentioned he is looking or shopping around for ideas for 2017 and 2018 with a possible family flat package as a good possibility 4. Pathway between plaza and golden will prob never happen unless there is a way to make money between the 2.....

I just figured since NEW ENGLAND has said they plan on announcing other capital park improvements for 2015 in February that maybe just maybe we might get lucky as well.

What do you think the parks will announce in FEBRUARY? Is Great Adventure announcing anything else?

Although this is a great change and concept for this ride, I would have to say that I am not surprised this happened. Originally the park had planned to build LD with the intention of reopening a path between GK and PDC using the old path of balins and reconfiguring the whole area depending on COST. Key words:Depending on COST.

I have heard that depending on the success of B:TR in texas, we may or may not get a clone in2016.

I have heard the plan is to reopen the path between golden kingdom and plaza. Along this path is where LD will be located.

At least buccaneer got its sign back even if the light package or show or whatever it's supposed to be sucks.

I have heard this was the original plan for this year but, after they crunched the numbers it was going to cost way too much money to retrofit the enclosure for the monkeys. Apparently baboons are a lot smarter than we know and this enclosure would have allowed to many spaces and openings for them to escape.So now it's back to the drawing board

Do you think cedar fair would ever add another wind seeker type ride to their parks or is that relationship officially dead? Personally Dorney would benefit from one and it would most certainly balance out the skyline?

I will say LD is something we need to boost our attraction line up but as everyone will probably agree it's disappointing we are getting one small ride instead of a package of flat rides like the adventure alley addition. We have the thrill/record breaker category taken care of for a while now how about adding some family flats, extreme flats, shows Park TLC ETC. Six Flags needs to set their priorities straight and learn how to penny pinch without making themselves look cheap by just giving parks new attractions to give them new attractions.
