  1. Man, this was such an awesome time to be a fan of the park. I miss it, I remember making weekly trips to check the construction and getting the opportunity to go to the commercial shoot for this.
  2. Have you ever gotten a Gold Flash Pass at Six Flags? It's for better than Disney's Fast Pass.
  3. Dainan, I'm right there with you on not going to Great Adventure for the first time in my life this year. But, I'll finally be back to the United States next year living next to SFA. I plan on going to GADV, Holiday World, SFStl, Dorney, Knoebels, Kennywood, Cedar Point, SFNE, Kings Dominion, BGW, Morey's, and possibly a Canada Trip.
  4. It's funny, because when I wore a hoodie to the park I would force my hood open the entire launch. But, I've had no luck.
  5. Day one could work out, but I highly doubt you will be able to do all 4 parks on the second day. There just too far apart from each other.
  6. I've ridden Chang at SFKK, Riddler at SFMM, and the stand up at Kings Dominions.
  7. At least the parks are open till 8! Most of the parks in Europe close at 6 every day!
  8. Rudolph by far! Home Alone or Home Alone 2?
  9. The Zero-G is the best part of the ride so far!
  10. They just brought Busch Gardens and Sea world, I think they have a lot of money...
  11. I got one yesterday and I feel worse than I did this past weekend.
  12. That ride looked fun, I didn't personally ride it because they did charge a lot for the rides and before I knew it I spent almost 60 Euro on rides, which is a lot!
  13. Amazing beer, amazing rides, amazing women, amazing time....Germany is awesome! Here's the pictures! Just a little busy... Awesome time! I have more pictures, but felt this might be a little too many.[/img]
  14. I say SFOT or SFStl give us Mr. Freeze and they drop it in Chiller's old spot!
  15. Sigh...I miss Chiller! IMO, GADV doesn't feel the same anymore every time I go there. The sound of it launching and it was definitely our "unique" coaster in the park, which is why I liked it that much.

The fair I just went to in Duren actually had something similar to it. I never even knew that Great Adventure had these or I would of taken pictures of it. You can see it right behind the white tent.
  17. Yesterday was the day I finally got on the one coaster I heard so much about, Olympia Looping. I googled it a couple of weeks ago finding out where it is going throughout Germany and I found a city that was only an hour and a half away that it was coming to this weekend. So I made some plans with a few friends and we were off. I arrived in Duren yesterday and got to the fair around 1pm. But, it didn't open till almost 3pm so we hit up BK and just lounged around waiting for it to open up. When it finally did it got packed instantly, but it's OK. The way the carnies over here run these rides and how fast they load them moves the line very quickly which is awesome. I'll show the rides in the way I rode them... Top Spin No. 1 This ride was insane, but not as good as Coney Islands by far. They were operating it manually just like at Coney Island, but it didn't do as many flips as Astrolands did. Booster Maxx I'm not sure who made this ride, but it is very similar to a Skyscraper. The good thing about this ride is the speed, I don't think a Skyscraper goes as fast as this thing. The ride was still awesome knowing that this was built in a day, but I would ride a Skyscraper over this any day. Cheesy Dark Ride We went on this Haunted House ride, hilarious! It was definitely one of the cheesiest rides I have been on which made me laugh over and over again. Wilde Maus Your typical Mouse, except braked rarely. Olympia Looping Now, I've been hearing so much stuff about this ride and I was so pumped to ride this thing. I think I might have been doing the Chuck dance in line, hahah Matt! They were only running one train and the line was pretty long so we opted for the front row, it's incredible how fast they get this up with how massive the structure is. When we finally boarded, I didn't like the OTSR they had on this thing. It kept coming down harder throughout the ride, especially the loops. The ride itself was awesome, those loops produce some serious G's. But, I still think Shockwave takes it as my favorite Schwarzkopf ride. Commander OMFG, Insane! Hands down the best flat ride I've been on. I don't think I have been upside down that much before and spinning while I'm at it that fast! If you ever see one of these, get on them. Awesome, definitely the highlight and suprise of the trip. High Roller(I think) This ride ended my day there honestly, I never have felt like I was going to throw up from a ride until I rode this thing. It was fun, but definitely not a good idea right after Commander. Other rides that I didn't ride because I ran out of money... There was go-karts, another dark ride, the Ferris wheel, and a couple of kiddie rides. Any questions?
  18. Each area is themed into different European countries, it worked out really good.
  19. I finally made it out to Europa Park this past weekend and I had a blast! It was raining while driving down there and I was hoping the crowds would thin out but they didn't, it was packed! But, the good thing was that all the rides run in top notch out there so a full queue for there brand new coaster was no more than an hour and fifteen minutes thanks to four trains running pretty solid! Onto the pictures, I don't have much pictures of the parks because my camera died out on me in the afternoon. > Welcome to Europa! The first thing we hit up was Euro-Mir, this thing was insanity. The queue was completely filled and it was overflowing as well, but we still got on in 40 minutes. The lift makes the ride unique and with the cars spinning makes it that much better. Definitely a fun ride, I was laughing the whole time. We then made our way over to Silver Star, the tallest B&M in the world so far. The queue was again overflowing, we made it on the front row within an hour because of flawless three train operation. I got on this a total of 4 times throughout the weekend because it is that good. The trim brake sucked a little bit, but was not as bad as Raging Bull was. It had the best air on any of the B&M hypers I been on as well. Definitely probably the second best coaster I been on over here in Europe. We then made our way to the new for 2009 coaster, Blue Fire. It was a trek to get out there, but the new land they more this, Iceland, was really nice. The coaster was themed really good with the fake rocks and it looked beautiful out there. The line was about 90 minutes for the front row thanks to four trains operating and no breakdowns occurring. I only rode it once in the front row and it was good, just not spectacular as I thought it would be. It definitely felt slower than Maverick did but the inline twist at the end was definitely pretty amazing though with the lap bars. It just felt like it would be so much better running 10mph faster. We then rode the Bobsled coaster there, which is just basically like the one at Kings Dominion just themed a lot better. But as for the ride itself, I think the one at KD runs faster and is better though. I didn't get any pictures of this ride though. The next coaster on the agenda was the EuroSat, I totally had no idea what this ride would be like. I honestly thought it was going to be a Space Mountain ripoff, I was wrong. The thing was a lot of fun with strobe lights and laser lights all over the place while blasting techno music. Just like EuroMir, I was laughing pretty hard on it. They must of had like five or six trains running too because the line never stopped moving for it. By then, the park was already closing for the night because they close at 6pm. So we got back to our hotel and showered and headed over to there hotel with is themed to a Colosseum. It was awesome, just very expensive. There Italian food was delicious and just the whole area was good. The Blue Fire drink, it was horrible. The "crew" So after a long night of drinking and clubbing, we woke up real early to a hangover and went to the park. We hit up Silver Star again and then went to the Matterhorn Blitz which is a Mouse coaster with an elevator lift. It wasn't too bad, but nothing spectacular though. I also didn't get any pictures of this just a video of it. It finally was getting sunny at the point so we decided to hit up Pegasus, the Water coaster. This thing was themed really good for a mediocre ride. I was disappointed in the splash for this ride, it looked really good for only a mist it felt like. We then hit up Pegasus, which was right next to Pegasus which is Mack's Youngstar coaster. It reminded me a Roller Skater honestly, it wasn't too bad but nothing great though. It was the only walk on of the trip. We then made a trek over to Atlantis Supersplash, which is just like Journey to Atlantis in Seaworld San Antonio. So, yeah we got pretty wet but it felt good after waiting 45 minutes though. I only got one picture of it... After that, we hit up Euro-Mir and Silver Star again and then left because we had a four hour ride back. We didn't hit the powered coaster and no flats at all because of how packed it really was. But, I will be back because this place is amazing! Seriously one of the best parks I been to, definitely one of the best themed I've been to. It rivals Disney, fo sho!
  20. Hmm, I wonder why it's not working. Sorry for not fixing it I haven't been around on the internet much.
  21. Like the Holiday Park TR, this is gonna be more pictured based and if anyone has questions just ask and I will answer them. I will say Goliath is one bad coaster, but it wasn't as good as Expedition GeForce. I would probably rate it in my lower top 10 though, still an amazing ride. Onto the pictures.. Note: There is no rules in any of the stations saying anything about on ride photos or no cameras. CLOSED! Good day, got on everything and experienced some new coasters and flats. What more can I ask?
  22. Thanks for the comments everyone. Germany is awesome and I'm actually stationed out here for the Air Force in case anyone is wondering. I'm heading up to Walibi World in two weeks then gonna try to plan a weekend trip down to Europa Park in May sometime.
  23. I don't really feel like typing a whole big report, so here it goes. Expedition GeForce is my new number 1, Star Flyers are scary as hell, I miss Intamin Drop Towers, and German dark rides show naked women which is amazing. Onto the pictures... Best drop in the world right there... Damn sun had to be right there the whole time I was there... The trains(no modified T-Bars), the drop, the hills, the bank turns, the speed, the hills, the extreme airtime just made this ride amazing. I'm so glad to have this so close while I'm here!
