  1. That's unfortunate to hear about Frost. Looks like there was budget cuts for the event
  2. Shame to see sfa close down those two sections but I can understand from a business perspective. Their slc has a reputation for being one of the roughest of its kind. I can see them condensing the kids area into one big section and maybe hopefully they can give their slc new trains with the softer vests? I think six flags over added in the early 2000's which is why the park is the way it is now. They went with quantity over quality.
  3. I wonder if this ride will also be filled with sand like hydra and talon are to keep the noise down.
  4. Unfortunately the park has confirmed that the parachutes are being removed. In a instagram comment they mention it.
  5. The park confirmed on ig that the parachutes are being removed this off season.
  6. The repaved road looks beautiful. I'm also glad they realized the potential on having it as a drive through attraction. I wonder if we'll see the rest area updated/reopened at the end of the safari where they have the bathrooms next to Kingda Kas tower, I think it used to be called exploration station.
  7. Proslide has a lot of awesome waterside with many different options. HH NJ is one of the few parks without a drop capsule whixh I'd love to see. Off course also as mentioned before a water coaster would really complement the line up. Also we could use another family play area/complex like the one we have with the bucket and smaller slides for the younger ones fo help spread the crowds. Also along with thrill and family attractions, perhaps something In between that's bigger then the small slides but not as intense as the big slides.
  8. I would say some new attractions, the park doesn't have enough to supply the size of crowds they get, however staffing is also a big factor especially this season showed this, but even in past seasons they had some issues finding lifegaurds. A new water coaster, along with a hydro bowl and some speed slides with the floor dropping would complement our selection. The park has barely expanded since 2000, besides tornado which came in 2010, big wave racer and the pool that replaced the removed king kobra Is all they built in the last 21 years. Now as far as management goes this is the biggest issue imo. The fact that they provide very little amount of tubes to try to get rental sales causes extremely long lines before even going up the stairs to ride. The flash pass also is aggravating because last time I got it, it was for the wait for tubed and not the actual slide, being there isn't a separate entrance. They should provide more tubes to help the lines instead of trying to up charge everything. This was the most aggravating part of my day.
  9. Exactly why it wouldn't surprise me if we had a quiet 2022 season with park updates and maybe a show or 3 in the arenas. It would honestly be a nice and much needed addition. The arena next to Bizarro has been dark for some time now and they only use showcase and stunt arena for fright feat and holiday in the park. Something for summer time would be a welcome addition.
  10. Interesting that they are updating the kids area in the middle of the season, which makes me wonder what or if they'll be anything for next season. I honestly wouldn't mind having a quiet year since we got JDC, and focus of fixing things up with maybe a show or two.
  11. Sfdk's Harley Quinn Crazy Train was a flop, I heard something with weight and balance plays a big part in the rides operation apparently, as well as other maintenance issues I imagine.
  12. I would say half and half, some rides like Full Throttle at sfmm are over in a flash and have no theming, and then you have El Toro in a beautiful Plaza del carnival section. I prefer a ride(s) with a great layout and theming like the park did in 05 and 06.
  13. If they converted Chiller to a LSM coaster, it would only fix a part of the rides problem. The trains would need to be completely replaced because the zero g rolls caused significant stress on the bottom of the trains (which is why the rolls were replaced with humps) as well as valley issues with completing the rides course. I would of loved to see the layout of the ride completely changed after the main elements and had the ride made into one awesome coaster instead of two separate dueling tracks like West Coast Racers at SFMM.
  14. My dream ride would be a Intamin Giga between Ka and Toro since Nitro already has an amazing long out and back B&M layout. As far as open spots go, there is a lot of space between Cyborg and Spin Meister's old ride pad for some flats or a small kids area like DC Super Friends. Also depending on how JDC's new queue and path turns out, along with the removal of Safari Tours, the Safari Kids/ Looney Tune Seaport area has room and is in dire need of a major retheme. Then, across Wonder Woman and next to Dark Knight where Chillers top hat and cobra roll is; there is room for an Endeavor or Air Race or even a Zamperla Wave Swinger to give the area some family rides to compliment Justice League. Over in the Golden Kingdom I would love to see Balin's Jungleland return with the incredible theming and Tigerland Treehouse. The pictures of the climbing structure was but with the pandemic that doesn't seem like a logical thing to do. A section to view the baboons or expand the Safari Discoveries would better suite the section. The Lakefront next to Joker is all open space but I feel that a ride there would ruin the peaceful atmosphere that's behind Yum Yum Cafe, although something like Catwomans Whip coming to SFSTL would fit nicely next to Joker. As for the boardwalk, there is a lot that can and needs to be done, first off removing the simulator building and moving the go karts (or removing them) across and behind Twister can free up a lot of space for a ground up coaster like a premier Launch or RMC I-Box like Goliath at SFGAM, or something even like Iron Gwazi would be epic. Also the board walk needs a flat or two, something in front of Green Lanterns Dive Loop ( Where Space Shuttle used to be) would fit a nice addition and a replacement for Twister because lets face it, I'm surprised that the ride has lasted this long.... with a water ride like SFOT's new Aquaman or something. Last but not least, Rolling Thunders former footprint could be replaced with endless possibilities. I would love to see the space saved for something epic like I mentioned earlier in this post for a Giga with extreme ejector airtime like Skyrush on steroids or something a little more realistic like the east coast version of Twisted Colossus or East Coast Racers. (Who cares about Zu's queue, I'm sure they can reroute it if they REALLY need to). Finally, the park really needs to step up their entertainment offering. Even starting with small things like street shows at Liberty Gazebo, Runaway country and magic tricks as guests walk by. Then have at least one show in the parks venues especially the showcase which has heating and a/c. In my post, I basically just mean to discuss available plots of land in the park new attractions that could be added as well as what kind of new rides we could see based on the company's recent investments for all their parks. The next addition to the parks lineup I really think will be a new kids section since the park removed LTSP minus Taz Tornado for a new major coaster. I can see something like Dc Super Friends next to Cyborg and JLBFM coming with relocated rides like RRR, Daffy's Deep Sea Diver and Pepe Lepew (especially with all the controversy going on) all being rethemed plus maybe a Larsen flying scooter or a new ride being added with. Another possibility can be a newly rethemed kids area replacing safari kids with something like Bugs Bunny Boom Town, an expansion of Bugs Bunny National Park and/or maybe even a return of Balin's Jungleland in it's original form with hopefully maybe a new show or two included would be a nice treat. We shall see what happens!
  15. That was an awesome layout drawn, also I'm glad to see old props being recycled and given new life! Lets hope. I can't wait for this new Coaster!
  16. I would rather see a discovery then a skywarp. The discovery is much more reliable and would definitely complement our ride lineup better. As far as metropolis goes, I would really love to see maybe a few smaller flats added like a tilt a whirl, wave swinger or even a disko. It would be awesome if they did something similar to 2012. However I honestly expect just one thrill ride. Maybe some shows would be awesome.
  17. I see a discovery maybe in freefalls old spot, I don’t see a new coaster coming just yet. As far as splash water oasis goes they just simply blocked it off and have it sbno. I’d love to see a rmc build a rolling thunder 2 similar to twisted colossus at magic mountain that would be an awesome addition... if we’re getting a coaster then We should of seen some sort of land clearing/tree removal by now. Hopefully soon.
  18. Ah I remember the days when loose articles weren't much of a problem because flip phones didn't really record videos like they do now. On the plus side, operations have been sped up tremendously since you no longer have to wait for people to put their stuff down.
  19. Does anyone know what SFNE did with their SWF water ride? Was it scraped?
  20. I just leave my phone in the car and bring in keys that hook onto my jeans and some cash and pass and never have any problems with attendants in front of the queues. But I know everyone's situation is different, I'm just too cheap lol.
  21. I wouldn't want to see any of our coasters removed, however I wouldn't mourn if they removed Green Lantern or The Dark Knight.
  22. My thoughts and condolences go out to the family. So sorry to hear this.
  23. I remember when ABC's video first went viral and I thought to myself whoa this thing looks insane. If anything it looks more disorienting than nauseating imo. Can't wait to try this one. Glad to see a unique addition to the parks line-up. As much as I would love to see a new coaster like everyone else, I think it's great that the park is building up their flat collection and ride count. I remember everyone complaining back in the mid 2000's how we desperately needed flats and now were finally getting them! (Long time poster here lol feeling old)
  24. I finally got to ride Zumanjaro today for the first time and WOW was it amazing! That view was incredible. Also, the ride was pretty much a walk on while other rides had some sort of wait. Enjoyed it very much. Waiting up at the top to fall with out any given warning is nerve wrecking in the most awesome way possible.
  25. I think Mardi Gras Would be perfect in the spring or summer. It would definitely be a nice event to check out during the year as long as its not during fright fest and Holiday in the park.
