quick interesting fact about Flay's . Bobby Flays Steak in the Borgata casino in AC has a 55 gallon trash can in the kitchen just for steaks that hasnt been cooked perfectly. This trash can appears about half full after every night. Also I have seen them bringing in lobsters that look like the size of small dogs. Flay dont play.

4th of July or Christmas ?

  2. I have a neighborhood around me that does Halloween right. Four blocks are shut down and EVERY house give out candy (full bar style) and there has to be at least 5 haunted houses and Haunted Walks set up. There is three bars "The ghost and Goblin" "The grim reaper bar" and the "VooDoo bar" on the edge of the street that sets up shots and coctails for the adults. Usually served in big cauldrons with dry ice for effect and the bartenders are all dressed up. There are people with chainsaws chasing people and dressed up just running around the place. So the kids are going apeshit and your rocking your Bloodyfinger cocktail and having a great time. Whats better than that?

Out at Night: Gay Day at Six Flags

It may be the perception that members of the LGBTQ community prefer dance clubs and tea rooms to theme parks, but really, roller coasters and 100-foot drops are thrilling regardless of your orientation. Thing is, most "family-friendly" parks frown on a gay male couple clutching each other in joyful terror or two lesbians sharing ice cream and smooches at a concession stand.

And so, Out At Night: Gay Day at Six Flags was born. Says event founder Gage Kristofer of twistedlife.com, "Out at Night is currently the largest gay 'private' event in the U.S. It's a night where we can enjoy the park and be ourselves."

Proceeds from this year benefit the DVLF Justin Eng Scholarship, which is awarded to an LGBTQ student at UArts who needs assistance to pursue an artistic career.

The evening has been steadily growing since its inception in 2002, so buy your tickets now if you and yours want to shriek your way along Kingda Ka.

I never knew they had events like this at SFGA. Do they promote this through the park?

  4. Dollywood has the same ride I believe. It is called River Battle . You use hand cranks to fire the water (You crank your arse off for a half decent stream) and you allways end up with some job trying to blast your kids eyes out or lasering down on the wife's fun bags. Its configured with a bunch of twists so at 450 feet it will have a small footprint. I gotta be honest for however millions this thing costs it aint all that much fun. Let them have it I'd be happier with a drop tower !! If anyone wants I have some pics I think of river battle I could post them If anyone is interested.

  5. My point is just this: Too many great coasters are just sitting somewhere collecting dust. I believe they could be bought cheap and revamped (today technology) and rediscovered for a fraction of the cost of a new coaster. Not just Shockwave although I would prefer it but any coaster. Hell pick up the Cyclone and bring it here !!! I wanna ride !!!

  6. Whats the chances of getting Shockwave back in the park? Its been sitting for a few years in storage doing nothing. I remember this being a fun ride. Economics are there and it could be re themed. It kills me there are so many coasters just sitting somewhere rotting away when we could be on em! The gears are a grinding
