  1. With the Frontier Adventures Skyway station open, I wonder if this could mean the possibility of a new themed section for Frontier Adventures and opening Bizarro and Runaway Mine Train during Holiday in the Park in later years. RMT goes over water so it may not be able to run in colder weather despite being an Arrow but if Bizarro's flame effect still work, I wonder if the heat from the flames would make more people want to ride it in the cold.
  2. It would be nice if Clementon Park becomes bought by someone that wants to reopen the park even though it's a run down glorified carnival. The park has a lot of history and a lot of memories among several generations. While residential development may look like a nice replacement considering it's right next to a lake, Clementon and its surrounding towns that all share the 08021 zipcode aren't very nice areas to live in especially for families.
  3. I usually don't ride Superman, the line is usually at least a half hour or longer because I find the dispatches to be much slower than other rides in the park (sometimes the dispatches are twice as long as the other coasters in the park - as long as 3 minute dispatches on Superman while other coasters have 45-90 second dispatches) and it occasionally runs only one train here an there, usually after a breakdown. I'd say of all the coasters in the park (minus Harley Quinn and Road Runner Express), Superman is the coaster that runs only one train the most but it doesn't happen on a regular basis. Last time I rode Superman it had a 15 minute line so I decided to go on it.
  4. I prefer the second to last row on El Toro because it is not above a wheel unlike the very last row and wheel seats on woodies tend to be a lot rougher than non wheel seats. For Nitro I found row 7 to be my favorite but any row is good on both coasters as I tend to find empty seats for re rides when I ride them.
  5. Definitely go with quality themed attractions at highly themed parks such as Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens, Dollywood, etc Theming can be expensive so I think rides that immerse the guests are how those parks should go. For Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks, I'd say they should add more theming to their newer additions but still go quantity. Some of the newer Cedar Fair coasters such as Mystic Timbers, Copperhead Strike , and the two RMCs have theming even if it's not at the level of Disney but it's better than having a generic ride with a random name slapped to it (looking at Hersheypark especially).
  6. I think the reason they also don't allow guests to bring keys and wallets on rides because the park don't want guests to lose keys and wallets as well. If you lose your keys, you would have a hard time trying to leave the park and if you lose your wallet, you could lose valuables such as a credit card, money, or your driver's license. I wish the park could install pouches under the seats on El Toro and Kingda Ka like what Cedar Fair did to Twisted Timbers and Steel Vengeance.
  7. They probably made Magic Mountain's one better than the other ones so they can compete with Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland which both have several elaborately themed dark rides.
  8. Chicago sports fans aren't the worst behaved fans but they can get kind of rowdy at times; not as bad as Philadelphia fans who would climb poles and buildings and other crazy stuff after the Eagles winning Super Bowl 52. Their teams are also popular with bandwagons because of Michael Jordan's two three-peats with the Bulls and the other teams having success.
  9. Clementon Park has one too but it is still operating.
  10. Even though Nitro was reported to have a 90 minute wait, I only waited 20 and managed to ride it again without getting back in line. I actually almost decided to cancel my membership because I had a lot of frustrating trips compared to last season where the park did a lousy job on operations and organization (exception being rides) and going on mostly unnecessarily busy days didn't help. Which is also why I visited less times compared to previous years along with having a Cedar Fair pass and visiting some of their parks. Next time I enter the park and see the lot busier than normal, I'm probably not going to enter the park just not to deal with long lines and poor operations. Great Adventure really needs to get their act together.
  11. Currently at 114. Mystic Timbers is my 100th with Steel Vengeance being my new favorite. El Toro dropped from number 1 to number 3 and every coaster in my top 10 are either Intamins or RMCs except for Mystic Timbers.
  12. Road salt should only be used before it snows. NJDOT also recently repaved 295 from Route 42 in Bellmawr to Route 38 in Mt Laurel with smooth asphalt and the salt can wear out the pavement faster.
  13. High is 36 on Friday. Better than sub freezing but still cold. Crowds will be low too because it's Black Friday so most traffic near the park is heading towards the Jackson Outlets
  14. I run cross country and I never really knew about the Wild Safari XC Invitational until one of my teammates told me about it. He had a few friends that ran the race. Winner of the race is from Pitman and ran the course in under 16 minutes. My school ran a different cross country race that day.
