I find it very interesting that it says the attraction is in Movietown and not Metropolis. Looking forward to seeing some official renderings to get more information.

If it is a Super Boomerang, what do you guys think the position will be in Metropolis? They said "What's missing?" in one of the first teasers, would it be clearly visible from that vantage point? Seems it could run parallel to the entrance walkways without interfering with them

Abyssus was built in 2021 and costed 11,000,000 €, I'd assume the manufacturing plant being in The Netherlands has some effect on pricing for American parks interested in Vekoma. I still stand by my original point that this is an ominous sign for future additions if considered a "splurge"

From the call regarding increase in upcoming capex:
"The lift in '24 was somewhat related to... we have a 50th anniversary coming up at our park in New Jersey and we had an opportunity to add a nice ride kind of late in the game and that's a little bit rare because it takes generally a while to design and build a coaster so we had a fortunate opportunity and we decided to take it. So that's the lift versus what we had expected to spend in the short run."

The stats teaser was honestly pretty disappointing, did they really think enthusiasts weren't going to crack it immediately? They basically slapped the exact ride stats from the Vekoma website on a tweet and called it a hint
Definitely, that should have been the final teaser and the 436 could have been omitted (as the defining number with the rest being ambiguous).
Does anyone know the cost of the Super Boomerang? Lech Coaster costed €12M (roughly $13M) in 2017, but also features twice the track length of this. My ballpark guess would be $15M, so I'm not understanding how this was addressed as a huge increase in Capex.
Perhaps the entire GADV allocated budget was supposed to be for renovations/TLC and then this was thrown in there as an added "gift"? Ironically it'll be the best part of the new season.

Fiesta Texas really missed the mark on their teasers for 2024, and honestly this campaign hasn't been great either (but it's justifiable considering the whole park is being renovated). The giveaway of the ride stats happened far too early.. Jersey Devil had an awesome teaser campaign that was actually engaging and interesting

It's time for a fun fact! The Vekoma Super Boomerang first inversion is listed as 30 m (98.4 ft). This makes the stall taller than the dive loop on Medusa (96 ft), the first drop on Batman (84.5 ft) and the pretzel loop on Superman (78 ft). It's going to be a large attraction, albeit on small footprint

Great Adventure ride ops can be pretty speedy honestly, I could see one minute load/unload times for the train with a fast team. Then add the ride cycle time for a total ~2 min 12 sec and at least gets us closer to 700 RPH. The theoretical 800 might come from test runs where they didn’t have to cycle people haha
-
Joker has an advertised 720 riders per hour. This would actually be better with 800 RPH

AFAIK Cyborg's future is questionable but not for 2024, the markers are nearby but don't seem within Cyborg's plot itself. Old Country has a lot of room to work with behind the walls in catering section as well as a possible station in the clearing next to JL:BFM. Nothing is established until an official announcement, however
-
I'm so glad GADV decided to not remove Cyborg; I personally felt it was the spiritual successor to Twister. Now it's going to have a neighbor so maybe it'll get more love from park goers in 2024
-
Of course it's possible. It could be an RMC T-Rex for all we know, GADV is extremely good at keeping things under wraps
-
Instead of the cancelled coaster theory, what if GADV was willing to buy something that was already in development but had no buyers?

A roller coaster over the entrance would be a great facelift for the park in the same way Gatekeeper was for Cedar Point and Fury 325 for Carowinds
2023 Great ADVENTure Calendar- Day 13- Bring Back Printed Maps and Pamphlets

It could also be an environmental measure, however I find the app maps to be inconvenient because then you have to budget cell phone battery; also you have to stow your phone away periodically before rides. A possible solution would be to have the park maps visible on picture boards around the park, and also sell the souvenir posters in the gift shop as others have suggested. The days of the mass printed pamphlets are no longer, I believe.
