Planning on going either Monday 6/25 or Tuesday 6/26...not sure what to expect in terms of crowds considering its the first/second week (not too sure what it is for NJ)...I'll probably go prepared to get a Flash Pass if absolutely necessary (I hate long lines) and it could be one of very few trips this year (it'll be my first of the year)
Which of the new rides are now open? I know SkyScreamer is but I haven't followed closely enough for the others.
What should I expect as far as crowds go?

It seems that the park's facebook page has been hit with Timeline and well...I can't seem to figure out how to see people's posts...How do I do that with this timeline crap?

May 2008 I was at Great Adventure for Physics Day...my first ever roller coaster (I had been scared of them until then) was the Great American Scream Machine...been hooked ever since then
-
Looks like now they painted a yellow piece white....
I think its a safe bet to say that's primer like what was on the top of the corkscrew before they painted it yellow
-
They obviously want to change the name of the coaster from Green Lantern to Super Bowl XLV coaster (Packers and Steelers Colors, get it )
-
Sounds like Friday is likely, they should e-mail you a tracking # once it ships and then it should be 2 business days from them, though it depends where it ships from. If it is not that far away, 2 day shipping could be the same as next day. I have ordered stuff with 2 day shipping from Amazon and if it ships from their warehouse in Delaware, I get it the next day.
I got an email yesterday and the expected delivery is actually tomorrow so I don't have anything to worry about

No More Questions.
Wait... What's the Difference Between Regular, Gold, and Platinum?
regular= wait as long as everyone else
gold= reduced wait time (not sure what the percentage is)
platinum= minimal wait time and you get to ride twice

Hello all,
I renewed my season pass tonight, talk about absolute last minute on sixflags.com/renewnow and got the expedited shipping option (If I knew my pass had to be shipped to my house I would've done it last week). I am kind of worried that my pass (and extra bring a friend ticket) won't get here in time. I was on the UPS website and it said 2 business days for expedited shipping but I'm not sure how processing time or whatever they do before its shipped will take.
I'm hoping it should be here Wednesday or Thursday (best case scenario)
In the worst case scenario, if my pass doesn't arrive before saturday is there anything I can or have to do to make sure I can get in
I also posted this on the Great Adventure facebook page but haven't gotten a response or anything so I hope I have better luck here
Thanks in advance for the help

Is the webcam not loading for anyone else or are my computers being lame?

What annoys me is when people think Rolling Thunder is Batman and Superman -- no kidding.
Really?? That's just an epic fail right there

2 things really grind my gears :
1: When people ask the SAME QUESTION OVER AND OVER again. I go on the Six Flags Great Adventure Facebook Page quite often, and every time I see at least 2 or 3 people asking either A: When is it opening or B: When is Green Lantern going to be open. Then I scroll down a little bit to find BOTH questions ANSWERED many times.
2: When people put the word "the" in front of coaster names like "the Nitro" or "the Kingda Ka" or "the El Toro". It annoys the crap out of me.
-
My first looping coaster was either Great American Scream Machine or Batman: The Ride in May 2007 I can't remember which one I went on first, I was there for Physics Day and I've been hooked on roller coasters ever since
-
other then the lighting effects, i couldn't stand it

Things to be improved for Super Bowl XLVI:
1: Get someone who knows the words to the National Anthem
2: Book a GOOD halftime show. Despite their age or if their even together (im 19 im not up to date with who's still playing/together don't flame me for it please), possibly get the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns n Roses or Metallica
Thats all I can think of, feel free to add anything

My plan is to leave as soon as my friends get out of school (around 2:20-2:30), I go to college locally and we live about an hour and a half out and take the Garden State Parkway so I'm crossing my fingers that there's no traffic and we get there between 4 and 4:30 but it's Sunday and I don't even know which of my friends are going so I don't know how I'm going to pull it off and I'm not worried about riding as many rides as I can, I was there on the 16th with my college and rode a few rides so my goal is to just do whatever my friends want and make the most of the time there

Have another quick question- How crowded are the lines on the last Friday of Fright Fest usually, this Friday is my birthday and I'm in the process of getting a few people to go and have a good time with me...I've heard it's less crowded but how less crowded is it usually??

I have another question that you might be able to help me out with. I am going to Great Adventure this Saturday with my college, we aren't leaving until 1 PM and we are about 2 hours away so we won't be arriving until around 3 PM, depending on Traffic. I plan on just riding as many rides as I can because I'll be going again on the 29th so I want to buy myself a Platinum Flash Pass and I want to buy it online before I go because they go fast and I want to use my debit card and I'm quite confused towards the policy of debit card use, they have a whole thing on the website at checkout about debit card use and I was wondering if you could put it in simpler terms for me
Debit Card Information"When a credit card authorization occurs, standard banking practice is to put a 'hold' on the cardholder's account in the amount of the authorization, reserving that amount for this transaction, and to reduce the cardholder's available remaining credit accordingly. This hold remains in place until the merchant indicates that the transaction is complete and the funds are transferred (i.e., 'settling' the transaction), or until the hold expires. The duration of the hold depends on your bank, but typically lasts 3-5 business days.
When using a bank debit card as a credit card, the procedure is similar. In this case, however, the hold is placed against the account balance, making those funds unavailable until the transaction is settled or the hold expires. This occurs whether or not your transaction goes through successfully. Be advised that when using a bank debit card as a credit card, you may be subject to these holds even if your transaction is declined. Please contact your banking institution for more details."
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it means that the money you're trying to use gets held or something I'm not sure. I know it's off topic but I need help because I don't want to be stuck waiting in line for hours
Thanks in advance for the help

Sounds like fun, but how much is admission for Fright Fest? Is it the same as any regular day? I think 60 bucks but since it'll be a Friday will it be discounted because the place doesn't open until 5...I need to know so I can tell the friends i'm bringing how much to expect to pay to get in because I don't have any of those things you have, Railer.
-
I've never been to Fright Fest ever and I am wondering what's the admission price to get in, i'm planning on coming down with a few friends on my birthday October 29th, hopefully the weather will cooperate as that's the last weekend of Fright Fest so it'll be a one shot deal (but i'll be going the next day with my college so it's ok lol )
Thanks in advance

I wish that this were just a sick joke. I don't think I'll feel safe not knowing there's a FD there or that the FD has to respond from somewhere TO Great Adventure. I really do hope they learn a hard and valuable lesson either during fright fest or the off-season of how much better it is to have an FD there ready to go then to have one responding from somewhere else.
Fright Fest 2017
in The Park Today
Posted
Hey everyone (or anyone reading this) I'm mostly a lurker in here but I was wondering if someone in here would be willing to help me out, I impulsively bought a Season Pass (first time in probably 6 or so years, not sure if that makes a difference) during the Flash Sale in September thinking that I'd be able to get to the park before the 31st deadline to get the Gold Upgrade, as it turns out, I will more than likely not going to make it to process my pass. I tried reaching out to six flags support to see if there's some kind of online process to process season passes (its 2017, I figured there was a chance there would be) and found out if a friend or family member was going to the park they can get it processed for me.
That said, I am in search of someone who would be willing to become my new best friend who might happen to be headed to the park this weekend or next that I could email my voucher to.
Thanks in advance
