dougdrummer
I rode FF many times back in the late 80s before the clientele in the park made the experience less enjoyable and I stopped going. I always thought it was so different to end up on your back at the end, The drop was nothing compared to modern coasters, but at the time it certainly gave you the "heart in your throat" feel upon release.. Yankees99
It was a great ride and something vastly different from that era. Went on it a couple of times in its first season at GA (1983). Rode it once in the day and once at night. I seem to recall it being about as high as the Little Wheel. I rode it quite a few times at Magic Mountain. 29yrswithaGApass
We were sent this link this morning. It’s the Freefall commercial from 1983. It joins the 150+ other GA TV ads we have in our gallery!
29yrswithaGApass
Just a piece of sad trivia... Stuntman Dar Robinson featured in the commercial above died three years after this ad when he accidentally drove his motorcycle off the side of a cliff while on a movie set.
