BMax
^ Interesting! I love coaster specials on TV, especially if they are ones I know about! I saw that and I was like ahh! BMax
i cant see the pic above, when is this coaster special, i couldnt locaTe any info on it? Its a video from youtube for the show called Time Warp, and its a preview for a episode they're doing on the other Bizzaro coaster.
acq10uaz
i cant see the pic above, when is this coaster special, i couldnt locaTe any info on it? It was a year ago. It wasn't even a coaster special, it just had a segment on SFNE's Bizarro and Shipwreck Falls. BMax its not even a preview that was pretty much the whole segement they had on it. Here are more clips from the episode. http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/time-warp-...cars-cups-cans/ For some reason Shipwreck Falls is under water coaster. So if you're looking for it to air, its the Time Warp episode named Coasters, Cars, Cups because they went to SFNE, did car stunts, and did cup stacking. MarioSonic94
Today, I noticed one of the trains was playing parts of the media day audio.
ThemeParkRider
What kind of audio? I rode it on Monday and there was high stacking behind the station, due to the crowds. For the first time, I heard the full Bizarro song! They should sell it!
MarioSonic94
It had a few different lines. Most notably: "This could be the story of the century" and "Grab your team. We're going in".
acq10uaz
That would be media day audio.
ThemeParkRider
It had a few different lines. Most notably: "This could be the story of the century" and "Grab your team. We're going in". That was always in the ride!
acq10uaz
No it wasn't. It was, "We're shooting on top of the story of the century here!" and "Didn't you're dad ever teach you to walk! Before! You! Leap!" instead of what mariosonic posted.
MarioSonic94
That was always in the ride! No. They just took a similarly sounding Jackie Cooper line and put it there after media day.
ThemeParkRider
No. They just took a similarly sounding Jackie Cooper line and put it there after media day. I was on the other day, and all the audio was exactly the same as it was when the ride opened. Perhaps they only changed certain trains? GAcoaster
I'm surprised no one mentioned it, but I noticed the "auger of doom" is down for work. It was strange riding Bizzaro yesterday without it being there. Also funny to see the fluorescent green paint starting to show on the lift hill where the anti-rollbacks catch. ThemeParkRider
I never had time to ride this season! The lines were always long, or it was too cold.
29yrswithaGApass
Below is an interesting article from April 1998 in Amusement Business. Initially Medusa was described as a "B&M 'prototype' heartline coaster" where "people will sit in a car with their feet dangling below them and the car will sit between the tracks, not above or below". Not exactly what was built!
ThemeParkRider
That sounds like an early version of X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
batmanrobinchiller
Medusa is one of my favorite rides! I love the feeling you get when you feel your almost touching the track! Come to think of it I love all B&M coasters. There my favorite company.
BDD27
Hi I am new here, but I have been following this site for years. Anyway does anyone know if the rumor on Bizzaro being moved still exist or was that disregarded as fake?
GAcoaster
The park has said that it is not going anywhere anytime soon, but remember plans are always subject to change.
29yrswithaGApass
Cool photo of a couple of Great Adventure's finest testing out Medusa backwards. The test wasn't too successful as it didn't provide for the most comfortable ride. (Photo from the collection of A.Aristone)
