In this photo taken on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, Lex and Bella, lion siblings, adjust to the newly renovated

lion exhibit at the Cape May County Zoo in Cape May Court House, N.J. The zoo has received the two

3-year-old African lions, a male and female, from Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - Lions are back at the Cape May County Zoo. It will just take time before visitors hear the call of the wild.

Six Flags Great Adventure gave the zoo two African lions, a brother and sister, after the zoo's 16-year-old lion, Brutu, died in May.

Keeper Vince Sonetto tells The Press of Atlantic City Brutu was known for his roar, which could be heard in neighboring homes.

Sonetto says 3-year-old Lex and Bella snarl and growl, but are still too young to roar.

Sonetto says the lions were hand-raised as cubs and still crave human attention.

I went to the Cape May County Zoo for the first time this past Saturday.  I was truly impressed with the whole place - beautiful, clean, great layout, and plenty of animals. What is even more surprising is that both parking and admission are free (they do accept donations).

If you have an opportunity, check it out.  You won't be disappointed.
