...Unfortunately, on the night of September 21st and the morning of September 22nd, Six Flags Over Texas was hit by flash floods that caused damage to nearly 1/4 of the park. Water levels in the Tower and Boomtown sections reached nearly 8 feet, causing damage to restaurants and buildings and forcing rides to be closed for repairs and/or inspections. One of the locations that was hit the hardest is Yosemite Sam And The Gold River Adventure. The ride has been closed ever since the flood occurred, and the rumors that we've been hearing haven't been good. From what we've been told, there is a chance that the ride may never reopen. The damage inside is said to be extensive as the entire building flooded and the boats floated into walls, set pieces, and animatronics.
