The Master
Found a few rumors about WDW's reopening plans. First rumor is that WDW may be closed for the rest of 2020, which I highly doubt. The longer they wait to reopen, the harder it will, be. Other rumors include no parades, fireworks, no shows, no character events or greets, no indoor threaters, and many ride closures when the parks reopen. MK may open allowing only 50% capacity of guests in. There are no current plans for reopening Epcot soon. DHS may reopen at 40% capacity and AK may reopen at 50% capacity. Disney also supposedly does not have plans for reopening BB or TL waterparks anytime soon. Many projects such as the Spaceship Earth revamp and the SW hotel have been canceled Edited April 21, 2020 by The Master
Pineracer
They are already very far along on the hotel, they can't cancel it. It's different from what became Art of Animation.
29yrswithaGApass
I don’t think they will cancel it but I would bet it will be postponed for many years. The set up of that hotel is the same as going on a cruise ship were you have a group of people in a limited space. It’s not like some people go out to the pool and others hang out in the lobby. It is an interactive experience which gathers most guests in the common areas for two days.
The Master
It would not be the first abandoned stalled project at WDW. What could happen is they delay opening the hotel for a couple of years and likely scale things down, especially the interactive active stuff and performers. Yoshi
Seeing parks still open like Everland in South Korea having all indoor rides and attractions closed makes me feel like Disney might have a more difficult time reopening as fast as regional parks. If parks in the US tried that approach it would mean for Great Adventure, Houdini, The Dark Knight, Skull Mountain and Justice League closed which is just a small percentage of rides. At Disney, that is every ride at Epcot (since Test Track is mostly indoors), all but 2 rides at the Studios, most of the rides in Magic Kingdom and maybe around half at Animal Kingdom? Medusa42
The immigration ban is going to cause problems for amusement parks and farms. It will be interesting to see if out of work Americans will fill the staffing shortages or continue to avoid these jobs.

Many of Disney's outdoor rides are lower tier rides like the train, riverboat, and various Dumbo type spinning flat rides, which is going to be a problem. Plus Disney will have additional issues with their resort transportation systems like the Monorail, buses, boats, and new cable way. Most regional parks do not rely on in house transportation to the extent that WDW does, not even DL. Most regional parks do nog see the volume that Disney gets, their days of packing people like sardines are over for at least in the near future.
