29yrswithaGApass
Who remembers when small stands and kiosks were located within the Drive-Thru Safari? They didn't last too long and were rarely open.
GAcoaster
I never saw those open.
I Have No Name
I don't see why they were a good idea in the first place.
GAcoaster
25 minutes ago, I Have No Name said: I don't see why they were a good idea in the first place. Captive audience (literally!)-- plus back when cameras needed film people would run out all the time and buy more in theme parks. Quite often you would bring your camera and realize you only had a couple of pictures left and have to break down and buy more. On top of that before everyone's car was air conditioned (my parents first car with AC was in 1986 since it was an upcharge and my dad was cheap), sometimes you needed to get a dink midway through. The stands were only in the Bird Sanctuary area where is was just a natural area with no dangerous animals.
29yrswithaGApass
The Safari Gifts stand was actually in the North America section (first area). I guess it was for guests that needed film right from the start.
