Some sports teams last year went cashless at their stadiums and I think it worked well for them. I prefer using my credit card for all purchases because I get rewards back. It will also hopefully help lines move along faster.
Six Flags also began testing this system last year at Over Georgia during Holiday in the Park. Interesting to know that the initial motivation was not coronavirus.

I wonder if they will end the refillable drink cups and switch to the disposable cup solution, even if a temporary safety measure.

Agree. Not to mention once again delaying the opening of the mall’s shops and restaurants. That thing is cursed! And the shops and waterpark were set to open literally the week when NJ really escalated to a shut down! They were so close!

SFA in Maryland announced they are delaying opening until sometime in April. That is the closet SF sister park to SFGAdv which indicates that GAdv will likely be delayed too. Both PA and DE have closed down all their schools for 2 weeks, NJ has closed many of their schools and plan to closevall of them.
Six Flags closed all their US parks through the end of March. SFA is only postponed because they were opening in March. They'll re-evaluate and make another decision towards the end of the month, but at this time, they're all scheduled to re-open in April.

New Jersey has strict ride safety rules, so that can throw a wrench into things (Ka and Zu were intended to crest/drop at the same time, but the state said no)
Also, apparently 2 of the state inspectors retired and now there's only 1 for the entire state. (Combine that with American Dream opening, he must have been pretty busy)

They do look different to me. On WW it's one continuous bar from the headrest, down and across your lap. ON JDC, it almost looks like the bar comes from the headrest, and then ends in a separate lap section, similar to something like Zumanjaro's restraint.

They also closed one of their Boomers locations and one of their Speedzone locations, both in Texas.

If Six Flags were to ever buy Kennywood, it would be interesting to see how the coaster community reacted to it. I could see the outrage already even though I think there would be a lot of improvements like having more than a few rides open for their Holiday Lights event and better operations (Phantom's Revenge only running 1 train at the beginning of most days even if it is crowded).
*cough* Sky Rocket wouldn't be closed waiting for parts for a year *cough*

“Our company has difficult to replicate assets that provide a unique experience in themed entertainment, and exciting potential for profitable growth,” said Mike Spanos, President and CEO.
What's he referring to here? Their cloned rides are difficult for others to clone?

I bought 2 shares during the eligible time period, so I'll be looking forward to my 50-cent settlement.

My guess is that they're obviously concentrating on JD right now, and fixing the kiddie section situation is one of the next steps, most likely for next year. Until that plan is worked out, they can't say anything that people are going to interpret as a promise when it's not yet set in stone.

^ Smooth cover-up lol

FYI it glows in the dark!

I made the suggestion to turn it into an indoor Member Lounge like some of the other SF parks have with soda machines - and therefore also an exclusive member shortcut.

They had many buttons and pins from the past on display at the event. @29yrswithaGApass Were those from the museum?

We actually saw them clean those windows one day and you could see right through them! That might have been the only day they've ever cleaned them, though.

We can compare to SFGAm
We have 2 locations in our park. Both in the same area. Kinda like if you guys only had Freestyle's in Ale House and Johnny Rockets by the Fountain.
And one of the locations is Members only.
We also have 2 in the same area - the Freestyle building in front of the Big Wheel, and the Sky Bar next to the Big Wheel. And the 3rd location is also on the same side of the park, next to Justice League, which is basically next to the Big Wheel.

Memberships don't have any "processing" deadline, so it's a clear decision they've made to force people to visit the park. Yes, it would be great to get the upgrade to Gold without having to visit.. but they don't want that.

Happy Birthday James!

Thank you!

I visited on Friday. Shellraiser was really amazing. I'll have to go back when the rest of the coasters open, but the pricing is looking pretty scary.

I believe that is the electrical shed that controls the lighting in the mall area. It makes sense that if they did a bunch of updates to the lighting they finally updated the shed that controls it as well.
You're saying there's actually high voltage?!

What is this shed? I noticed it walking out and couldn't put my finger on what was different. Totally forgot about the fencing!

Sorry for your loss - very sad to hear this, we always loved talking to Harry at the park. He will be missed by every Great Adventure fan in NJ.
