  1. One of these style tram cars can be found still today at a local you pick blue berry farm in Manchester, NJ. The name and street address escapes me right now, but the next time I drive by I will make a note of it. I don't know for sure if it is one from Great Adventure, but I would imagine it would have to be.

Most of the time it just sits out front of the farm and they still use it to transport people out to the. Blue berries on their busiest days during picking season.

  2. Hmm. I am heading there too. Plan on arriving there on Sunday late afternoon. Rv camping overnight and spending a day or two at six flags depending on how my 10 yo twins like it. Then we are headed to great escape later in the week.

Although we have never been to either, it looks like both parks offer enough to make the trip worth while.

  4. My ten yo twins and I were lucky enough to be at the park last night when Harry and the crew from GA were setting up. Even though they were still working hard to get it ready, they still invited us in for a look. Harry thank you and all that have helped make this possible. My son and daughter could not stop talking about the museum and meeting you. My son hopes to get you autograph on his copy of the book. Happy 40th to all of us here at Great Adventure History!

  5. Harry, I bow to your and tom's expertise on the subject. But I know that Kodak also sponsored the log flume too at some point. Is it possible that they switched off sometime? I have such vivid memories of being very young riding the moon flume with my mother and seeing that sign exactly where it is in the first picture you posted from 1978. I mean its driving me nuts.lol feel like calling mom right now. Lol

  6. No.... That's lighting loops in the back ground. Unless I am losing my mind I know nestea sponsored the moon flume sometime in the early to mid eighties. I grew up I. Jackson and spent day after day in GA during say 81 to 87.

  7. Does anyone remember the overhead sign just before the final drop on the Hydro Flume (seen in the photo below)? I don't recall ever seeing it and was wondering if it promoted Kodak, said remain seated, or something else?gallery_2_43_267912.jpg

o come on.... am I the only one here who remembers this sign? It was my favorite part of the ride. I honestly can't rember the exact wording but is was something to the effect of "Get Ready to take the Nestea Plung" or "Are you ready to take the Nestea Plung"

  8. Ooooooooooo nnnnnnñoooooooo!!!!!!!!

I just noticed on Six flags web site Rolling Thunder is listed as 'temporarily closed' and someone commented that they went on Saturday 9/7 and Rt was closed. does this mean that it broke ll not be open today either?

Did anyone go to the park last night that can confirm this? I was planning on going today with the family but if RT is closed for good I am gonna pass.
