I wonder if cedar fair still do printed maps & pamphlets

Last summer when I went to Carowinds they did not have printed maps.

My family collected park maps and have a lot of them put up on the wall in our basement so when all the parks started doing away with them it was pretty unfortunate. Would love to have them brought back and I think a lot of people wish they would too

  2. Went to the park today for the first time all year. Only was there from around 11am-1:30pm, started getting a bit more crowded when we left but wasn't too bad.  Was able to get on everything I wanted to in that time. The Joker, Kingda Ka, and Zumanjaro were all closed (and obviously El Toro).

Was disappointed to see it they removed all the hand sanitizers dispensers at the ride exits. It would be nice to be able to sanitize my hands after touching restraints who knows how many others have touched, regardless of whether you think there is still a pandemic or not

  3. Logically, they should just retrack the entire ride and replace any areas where the structure is less than adequate. Would feel weird to scrap or even RMC the 3rd ranked wooden coaster in the world. But Six Flags doesn't do things logically so they probably will do that.

  4. I hope they actually do well with the theming to Riddler and it isn't just a new color scheme with a new sign. The mist, fire, etc. is one of the things that makes Bizarro so unique so I hope they don't remove them and just give them a new purpose.

So with the 2022 season passes, you can only go once each to FF and HITP? That is how I understand Medusa42's post but can't find more info about it on Six Flag's website.

Frankly, FF isn't worth being an upcharge event, even Dorney has far better mazes that aren't upcharges than GADV. Still I would not like being blacked out most of the fall from GADV.

There was originally something about only getting one visit to FF and HITP but it seems to have been removed from the website, so I would assume it is no longer true and they took it out after realizing it wasn't a good policy.

  6. I agree that the membership is still a great deal, but my problem is really that I don't want to be paying for it monthly, there are a few reasons behind that. I just like getting the pass and knowing that it's good and paid for for the next year. And with a membership you still pay on months the park is closed (I know it is only a few months but still). And honestly I think them pushing the memberships on us by stripping season pass holders of any priority just makes me want to get a membership less. Like I said, I would love it if they could have season pass tiers where you pay more to get more benefits similar to the memberships but just that it is good for one season and you pay at once.

  7. As season pass holder for the past 10+ years, it is frustrating to me how each year they give less and less benefits to season pass holders and basically don't care about anyone other than members. I understand from a marketing and economical standpoint, memberships are the way for them to make the most money, but idk, I just like paying once and having the pass all year. I simply don't want to have to pay monthly. I have no issue with paying more money for a season pass that has extra benefits like access to all parks, bring a friend free, etc. Kinda wish they would offer season passes in tiers like they do with memberships.

  8. I saw someone on Facebook say Nitro is closed until further notice pending a state inspection. Whether that is actually true or not I don't know, but it is closed today according to the queue times app so I guess something is up.

So what do they plan to do for people like me who have a 2020 pass that they say is getting extended by however many days the park was closed (I don't believe they have said when exactly it would be getting extended to). Personally I wish I could just exchange my 2020 pass for 2021 because I have not gone to the park at all and I do not plan to go to the park at all until next year because I don't feel safe doing so

I contacted Six Flags and they actually were able to transfer my 2020 pass order to the 2021 season. So if anyone has a season pass that they haven't been able to use this year and don't plan on using, I recommend contacting them.

Only way they can enforce it is if they have an army of guards in riot gear everywhere in the park. I was at Hershey yesterday and few people were keeping their distance. On a couple of rides they did tell riders to put their masks on.

There's no way they can 100% enforce it, but they could at least have some security guards patrolling the lines to ensure people are keeping distance. I read stories today that people would be going up to workers or walking past security guards not wearing their mask and they would say nothing.

Unfortunately though, we have seen far too many videos of people throwing a fit from being told to put a mask on, so I can understand the hesitation.

  12. I've seen a lot of complaints from people today saying that social distancing was not being enforced while waiting in lines, a lot of people pulling down their masks and not being told to put it back on, etc. I get it, it was the first day, so there will need to be some things ironed out, but if they want to be open, they need to make sure guidelines are followed. I know people hate actually following the rules and it is tough to enforce, but like I said, this is their park, and they need to be strict.

Needless to say, i'm in no rush to go to the park anytime soon.

  13. I didn't even realize Splash Mountain was themed after Song of the South (though I will admit I have not been to Disney in a long time). I know that the ride is a favorite among many and people are disappointed, but it's definitely the right move. There's no reason to have a racist movie normalized in ways like this. The ride itself is still going to be the same, just the theme is changing. It's honestly surprising this move wasn't made earlier.

  14. Surprised that water parks and amusement parks are allowed to open at the same time. Seems easier to enforce social distancing and sanitation protocols at an amusement park, and obviously masks can't be worn at a water park.

  15. I don't think I will be  attending this summer (frankly, even with the measures I don't know how safe it really would be, I'd have to read more about the exact measures and rules they have), so hopefully they allow 2020 season passes to be good for 2021 as well, or I may have to try and get my money back.
