  1. ^ I agree with the Grandstand's removal but Fort Independence could have stayed, they could have just put Joker in the grandstand's spot and left the fort alone. Count me in on Chop Six, since I have the dining pass for the first time this year I will only be getting from dining pass locations. Plus if it's anything like Macho Nacho in quality it should be pretty good.
  2. ^ That sounds interesting! This is my first year with a season pass and I'm certainly glad I added on the dining pass. The amount of choices seems great, and there's stuff I didn't even know they had like the mac and cheese bowls and root beer floats haha
  3. It's terrible that scams like this would happen, especially since this one's meant to look like an official promotion from the park. Hopefully people realize it's fake and avoid giving out any information.
  4. Looks like it was a great tour! The Joker trains look nice and the restraints look pretty comfortable. I'm curious about what food the Sky Bar will serve and if there was any theming hinted at being in the queue for the Joker.
  5. I agree with making GL a sit down coaster, it has a forceful layout but as it is now I don't even ride it. If they made it a sit down I'd probably ride it every time I go to the park.
  6. Looks great! I'm wondering if any theming will be added in the ride area or in the station.
  7. ^ Agreed I'll gladly take it! I love this new early March weather
  8. Nice to see they're almost done with vertical construction! Also although it's kind of hard to tell from the angle shown it looks like Blackbeard's track is a brighter red now.
  9. I think the red fit well when the park first opened, but the white fits the area as it is today better. A rustic look would be awesome though!
  10. If you zoom in really close on the map, it looks like Harley Quinn is red and white. Also since it's named after a DC character I would guess they probably have to give it at least a slight theme in order to get the licensing. I'm not sure how I feel about Blackbeard's getting a superhero theme but I agree that the Lakefront is going to look great now! I'm looking forward to giving the Joker a try, if nothing else it's unique to the park, and given the park's new commitment to filling dead areas, the park will be in great shape for the future!
  11. ^ If we got one it would round out our coaster collection perfectly! I'm expecting something smaller in 2017 (maybe the Justice League dark ride or something in the leftover empty Lakefront space) and then the coaster in the near future after that. I'd love to be proven wrong though!
  12. ^ I agree, I like the Joker since it's better than "Total Mayhem" was and I'm ok with the snack stand being rethemed to the coaster next to it but that's enough IMO. I heard that rumor too though so we'll see what happens.
  13. Well sorry didn't mean to break any rules! Nothing to see here move along... Photos deleted As per the forum rules- These photos violate this policy. An employee must have taken these photos, or someone who was in the park yesterday for auditions and leaked them to someone. This not only violates the forum rules but also employee rules. May the speculation continue!
  14. That would be interesting if you're right, combined with the removal of the Fright Fest trail in Chiller's station it could point to a redevelopment of that area, maybe even the RMC T-rex for next year.
  15. ^ The Facebook page doesn't say it that way, but the passholder email I just got says that "the Joker was plotting to take over our new ride". Although I still feel like this would be more fitting in Movietown or Boardwalk with the other DC rides, the theming and colors are much better than before. Overall good change!
  16. ^ Please no. I'm ok with metal detectors at the park entrance but I don't want to be subject to airport security every time I get in line for a coaster. If the park did that they'd never see me there again.
  17. ^ When I was at HITP the Jack Frost show had the biggest crowds out of anything in the park. Even though crowds were on the lighter side the show was near capacity. I think a stunt show based on Batman vs Superman would be great! Lots they could do with that...
  18. From what I've seen of each of them, Planet Coaster looks like the better game even though it's not as well known as the RCT franchise. If you look on their Facebook page they have a lot of cool photos and videos from development.
  19. Great pics Matt! Especially the ones with the Dare Devil Dive mechanics, that guy must be really brave to wave to you from the top. I also liked the HITP pics, the park was especially photogenic during the event! Also I agree about Macho Nacho, it's my new favorite place to eat in the park since it's pretty good and is different from the typical food at the park.
  20. What are the three little square buildings in the old Chiller spot used for? If those are removed too then I think it would be a bigger sign of something happening.
  21. Holiday in the Park was awesome and should definitely come back. The lights were all really cool, especially Polar Point and the carousel. Riding major coasters (especially Nitro) in the end of December was great, and the shows I saw were all good, especially for a park with basically none during the normal season. Can't wait for the start of the new season!
