  1. Ok. Really good to know. Thank's again
  2. Thank you for those advises! I definitely consider those although for me it's very important to get a change to ride also Kingda Ka, which I know won't run if it rains... Maybe if the forecast predicts only occasionally showers there is a good change to ride Ka between those showers? Or does the coaster need long time after rain to operate again? And I'm gonna stay pretty late 'cos the NJ transfer bus leaves from the park as late as 9.30 pm, so I have quite much time to be in the park... One more thing I have wondered... Me and my brother both have glasses and we won't see well without them. I assume, that in those wild coasters you are not allowed to wear glasses which is pity 'cos I think that takes some excitement away if you won't see well. . I read from some other forum that at least in year 2012 in cedar point and six flags parks there were possibility to buy straps for your glasses to keep them from falling off your head. Do you happen to know if that's still the case? Or do you have some other advice concerning eyeglasses in wild rollercoasters?
  3. ^ If I'll end up using lockers I'll definitely switch those at least 8 times so all day locker should be the best choice for me. Where can I buy this and how does it work? If I decide bring more things than just wallet and phone I'll definitely bring my back-bag which is average in size. I imagine that should fit the lockers just fine... My original plan was to visit the park either on monday, tuesday or wednesday at the last week of june to avoid big crowds but now the weather forecast predicts best weather on weekend. What do you think, If I visit the park on friday 26th or saturday 27th and buy the flash pass gold, will I have enough time to experience all the major rides at the park (even couple of times if possible ) despite the big crowds? Thank you all so much for your answers
  4. Good to know. I probably need to use those lockers on my visit.
  5. ^ Sorry for my bad english. I actually understood that the lockers costs but I meant that could there be situation that there are no available lockers at the rides, all the lockers are taken... That would be problematic, if I decide to take some things with me, and then all the lockers are taken when I want to go in to ride... I could imagine that could happen when there are lots of crowds in the park...
  6. Thank you so much for your tips! I’m actually arriving to New York already on next Tuesday. If the weather forecast look bad for the last week of June I might be visiting the park already on next weeks Friday (if the weather looks better on that day). Avoiding that though, cause the park might be more crowded then, than on weeksdays. At this point it looks that there might be some thunder storms ahead during my visit… It’s good to know that all the major maintenance issues should be taking cared off for Ka and El toro. With Nitro those are the rides I am most graving to experience!!! Really can’t wait! I’m actually arriving the park by bus using NJ transfer service. I’m still considering the possibility to leave all but wallet and phone behind. It might be difficult though, cause I have for instance handy cam I would like to take with me… It would be so nice to get shots also from my trip to the park… Might there be a problem to find free lockers at the rides? It was also good to know about the metal detectors, thanks
  7. Thanks for a quick reply! That was a relieve to hear :-) So much looking forward my visit :-)
  8. I have read with horror this forum and news about current problems with Kinda Ka and El toro coasters. I'm traveling to New York at the end of June all the way from Finland and going to visit the park at 29th or 30th of June or 1st of July. I have waited almost 10 years to get a change to ride those amazing coasters! Is it really so that Zumanjaro, Kingda Ka and El toro are currently out of operation?! That would suck so much!!! Has anyone reliable information about current condition of those rides? I tried to phone the park but didn't manage to solve their answering machine jungle with my bad english. Didn't found the way to got an actual real person on the phone... I also sent a note via their website but haven't got answered, at least yet.... I'm pretty worried after reading your recent comments here... I would also like to know is there a lockers within or near every major ride where I can leave my belongings and how much do they cost? It would be great to get some information about these things :-)
  9. That was also useful to know. So we are going to do the visit on monday, tuesday or wednesday and won't visit if there's special event in the park. Thank's for information :-)
  10. Thank you so much for your answers. It was helpful. I'm sure too that I'll love the park :-D Does anyone have thoughts or tips about question 1?
  11. Hi, I live in Finland in northern Europe. I will travel New York next summer with my brother. Our visit will be from 23rd of June to 3rd of July. It has been a long time dream to do the trip and now it will finally happen :-) One of the highlights will be the one day visit to the six flags Great Adventure. Park’s coasters are something that don’t exist in my country. It will be fantastic to get change to ride the best coasters in the world. I have, however, some questions concerning our visit. I wonder could you enthusiasts have the answers to these or at least part of these. I would be truly grateful. 1. Our plan is to travel to the park by bus using NJTransit service. I have learned that summertime is very busy and the park is really packed. Do you happen to know how popular that NJTransit service from New York to GA is on summer time? Are the seats from the busses often sold out? How can I make sure that we get the coach the day we are planning the visit. We wouldn’t like to buy tickets very much in advance because we would like to follow weather forecasts to make sure the weather would be ideal on the visiting day. Do you have any tips for what would be the best way to purchase tickets and how advance we should do that? 2. Because the park is obviously very busy on June and July, we are considering possibility to purchase platinum flash passes from the six flags online store. Do you recommend this? Or could Flash Pass gold or regular be sufficient enough to guarantee access all the major rides on one day? On the website it reads that there is only limited number of flash passes for one day. Do you know if it’s usual that the flash passes will be sold out on summertime? How much advance we should buy those passes to make sure we get ones? Once again we would like to follow weather forecasts before we decide on which day we are making the visit… 3. Is it possible to queue for the front row seats of the coasters? Or is it just the game of luck… 4. We are especially looking forward to ride Kingda Ka, Nitro, El Toro, Bizarro and Green Lantern coasters. Is it usual that some of those major rides are closed during summer season on a typical day? Really would love if some of you could find the time to answer these questions. You are indeed really lucky to live near such an amazing coasters and park. Really looking forward the visit :-D Jouni from Finland
