  1. Found it interesting that this ad of Nitro ditched the pink track and made it just yellow/blue. https://imgur.com/a/F0IkD
  2. I'm not going to other Cedar Fair or Six Flags parks. It's Dorney Park or Great Adventure for me. Not Six Flags parks or Cedar Fair parks for me. I've done everything in both parks and until either of them add something new, I'll be going to the more family friendly and arguably safer and cleaner park.
  3. Personally, nope. As someone who's equally as far apart from Dorney as they are from SF, I'll be getting season passes at Dorney next year. Just a cleaner park and much shorter lines. A JL dark ride doesn't cut it for me personally since I'm also a Disney annual pass holder and visit multiple times a year. There's better dark rides down there that I enjoy a ton. But just cause it isn't the right for me doesn't mean it's not a good addition for the park. It'll fit nicely in GA's line up.
  4. Kind of curious what would happen (even though I know it won't). What if the results from the survey were atrocious? What if everyone hated the concept? What would corporate do?
  5. It is a valid question, though. Yes, the park may already use the building on the Boardwalk and yes, they may want it in Old Country, but wouldn't it be better to not destroy part of nature? EDIT: Not saying it's my question. Just saying it's not wrong for someone to ask that
  6. I just don't understand the reason for creating a new building. Like why spend the additional money when you have a building already standing? Wouldn't they want to save money?
  7. What exactly would happen if the board didn't approve the new building? I know it's almost ensured that they'll approve it but I'm just curious what you guys will think would happen.
  8. Yeah, it's never been illegal. You can't be arrested for having your cellphone out.
  9. I don't understand why it's so hard to take a picture from a lifthill.
  10. Sorry, my bad! It's hard browsing on mobile sometimes, especially when you're in an airport with spotty connection.
  11. I doubt it. I think people are just reading into it too much. Does anyone have a picture of RMC that they think it might be.
  12. Around what time of year did JL pieces arrive on site at other JL parks?
  13. Is there anywhere else in the park that needs structural repairs? This could possibly be something for somewhere else in the park. (I know it's probably JL, but it can't hurt to have a little more fun in this thread before announcement day)
  14. That box is different than this box. They tore that box down since it was useless. Now let's say a coaster was there. The box (station) is being used for the coaster. Fine by me. With JL, you literally have a box. And judging by past trends it seems like aside from the front this box is just going to be a box.
  15. Right? This just feels like a punch in the stomach. And the fact that a giant box is being put next to another box in the middle of nowhere shows that SF does not care for its guests. JL makes much more sense on the Boardwalk. Flats and coasters make sense in Old Country
  16. Most of them did. To be fair, I never did. As someone who visits Disney every year, I can ride much better dark rides that aren't just boxes. But hey I guess this is good for those with younger children?
  17. Didn't somebody say that the metal was painted maroon? Probably not true, but you never know. If they are painted there's no way it's structural stuff
  18. It's not that I mind JL, but SFGAdv has always had first of its kinds and record breakers. Bizzaro was the first floorless coaster. Lightning Loops had the first interlocking loops. How cool would it be to have the first of the new one-steel track? The longer we wait, the easier it is for another park to take it away from us.
  19. At this point I doubt were getting one. But I don't think any park at all is getting a TREX in 2017. I definitely think it is on Six Flags' mind, but it's probably too early in development. I have a feeling there were probably plans for SFGAdv, but it just wasn't ready. That's why we're getting a JL (presumably, along with MM) this year instead of OG
  20. The TREX isn't being marketed as a launched coaster, however. It's being marketed as a brand new cheap and affordable solid track of steel.
  21. Well I mean what else are these pieces? It's just about confirmed at this point since the picture of the last JL building being built is similar.
  22. GL wasn't even new. It was relocated. Nice ride but nothing original and new
  23. I've heard that Fitzgerald is actually responsible for the new building. Corporate wanted it on the Boardwalk, but he didn't want to get rid of a fully functioning building.
  24. Is there any way that those pieces aren't for us? That maybe they aren't for JL? Maybe the pieces are just being dropped off here before they can be transferred to a park? And maybe they are coaster pieces? Or has someone confirmed from the parks that they are clearly not track? I could just be really hopeful, but I just don't want a JL next year. SFGAdv might as well be renamed Six Flags Clone Adventure.
