  1. Thanks for the quick response and clarification
  2. I've heard the term "stacking" used a lot on this forum, other forums and the facebook page, What does it mean I've tried figuring out what it means myself but I came up with pretty much nothing, the only thing i could think of is when your waiting on line to get on the ride and you're in the station and you have to wait on another line to get in line for your row??? That's all I could think of...could someone please clarify what this means for me?
  3. Went there yesterday too, stayed all day then at 9:45 after I get off El Toro I hear "due to a wind condition, Saturday Night Lights has been cancelled" who knows when I'll be able to get back there on a Saturday during the summer...made me very sad I couldn't see Saturday Night Lights I've been dying to see it
  4. We did because it sure beat the hell out of walking across the park 5-6 times especially on an extremely hot day like Monday
  5. What an excellent day to choose to go to Great Adventure besides the heat it was great, My 2 friends and I were in the car by 7:30am, stopped for breakfast at a McDonald's near the entrance to the Garden State Parkway and were on the GSP by 7:45 am and were at the park around 9:35-9:40. I was REALLY surprised at how not crowded it was, I don't think the lot was even 50% full, I guess the heat drove a lot of people away or a lot of people were hungover/had to go back to work today but it's whatever. We were standing in line at the front gate by 9:50am, in the gate at 9:55am, at the flash pass center by 10:00am and how well worth the flash pass is worth even the regular one which was $85 on the nose for the 3 of us and how handy it came in when it was time to go eat the lunch we all packed in the car to save a couple of bucks. What I don't understand it why everyone in the group has to watch the "training video" if only one person actually goes and buys the pass especially yesterday when they made you go and wait in the blazing hot sun which was already around 90 degrees at 10:00am while the person buys the pass in the nice air conditioned room. I'm going to try my best to remember this in order as I didn't have my phone to record what we did when. Our first ride of the day was Nitro (in the last row), I love how the flash pass line takes you right in the front of the last row it's like hey come ride the last row of Nitro i love it, after Nitro we went to Batman but as we were boarding it, it broke so we already had a reservation at Dark Knight which was great because it was probably already close to 95 degrees out and the pre-show is air conditioned which felt AMAZING for the few minutes we were standing there and the train horn at the end scare the daylights out of me. Next we headed to Skull Mountain, then we took the Sky Way over to the other side (yesterday was the first time i had ever been on the sky way that i could remember and i really enjoyed it because it beat the hell outta walking especially on a 100 degree day. After the sky ride we tried out Runaway Mine Train (my left knee got banged up) then then we got on El Toro (my friend got in trouble because the 2 front rows in the last car were empty so we tried to fill them up but the air gates were closed so we tried jumping them, my friend did but i'm a klutz and didn't make it over so my friend got kicked off but not ejected thank god) then we went on Kingda Ka (3rd or 4th row) then we hit Great American Scream Machine (probably for the last time ever </3) in the back row because there were 3 open seats and after the ride i instantly knew what everyone complains about and I did call it the Great American Headache but i still love that ride even though it's days are numbered </3, Before we got on GASM we made a reservation for Superman and we noticed it was a while before we had to go and it was almost 1pm so we went out to the car for sandwiches, Gatorade (and Arnold Palmer, if you don't know what that is it's 1/2 Iced Tea and 1/2 Lemonade mixed together) until the Flash Pass buzzed and beeped and told us we were good to ride so we rode Superman then we hit El Toro again then we headed over to Bizarro for our reservation, took the sky ride for round 2 of Nitro, B:TR, Dark Knight and Skull Mountain then back on the sky ride to get a Front row pitch black ride on Kingda Ka <3, then we tried going on the sky way again but they only had one side open and it wasn't going anywhere and at this point there was only about a half hour before the park closed to we didn't run we walked fast to Nitro to find the Flash Pass checker wasn't there so we walked up got a back row ride, saw he wasn't there again, walked around got on again and for a 3rd time he wasn't there so we figured why not and we got 3 rides on Nitro in the last row in the last half hour all in pitch black which was AMAZING Ride Count: Nitro 5x Kingda Ka 2x Bizarro 2x Batman: The Ride: 2x Dark Knight: 2x Skull Mountain: 2x Great American Scream Machine </3: 1x Superman: 1x El Toro: 2x Sky Ride: 5x
  6. If we do go we will more then likely get a 4 person flash pass and I'll probably need some sort of caffeine for the ride home I was falling asleep while driving home on the 17th and I have to do all the driving because all my friends either have their permit or aren't legally allowed to drive in New Jersey (we live in New York) without someone over 21 in the car
  7. Since my 3rd friend couldn't join my 2 friends and I June 17th, We decided we would make the trek down July 5th since the summer camp I work at is closed that day so I said what the heck, why not. What should we expect the crowds to be like?? We are planning on pooling our money and buying a regular 4 person flash pass ($108.00 before tax) which comes out to 30 bucks a person which is more then affordable for us... Any tips would be appreciated Thanks in advance
  8. That also happened to us on Nitro except it was the Front Row and the people were going a second time...damn platinum flash pass
  9. Pretty good day overall...Went with 2 of my friends , we invited a 3rd to go literally the night before because my friends and I had our Night-before-Six-Flags-Campfire and she came and joined us, got the ok to go but later in the night she found out she had to work the next day and after trying desperately to find someone to fill in she couldn't join us so it was just the 3 of us. We left my house around 7:45-8 am. Got half way to the Garden State (about 3-5 miles away from my house) and realized one of my friends had forgotten the coupon for the Stride Promotion to pay 34.99 to get in (2 of us have season passes but we never got our Coupon Books when we processed the passes in April) so I had to drive all the way back home to get it then it was a little more then an hour and a half drive down the Garden State Parkway to Great Adventure. There were what seemed like to me A LOT of schools there if there weren't any school's I don't think it would've been very crowded We got to the park headed straight for Nitro saw a crane doing work on Batman sat last row it was a station wait, got off went to Skull Mountain I was waiting for the last row but then some flash pass dick took it so since it was a station wait i just moved up a couple of rows no big deal then back to Nitro front row this time station wait again by that time it was around 11:30-12 so we went to Papa John's for lunch, to me it didn't seem like the person working the register spoke much English because I had to repeat "Pizza for One" about 3 times and for 8.99 it wasn't what i expected but it was really good but I don't think it was worth 8.99 but it is what it is not much I can do to change the price. After lunch we headed to Blackbeard's 1 ride wait, never been on it before..it was alright great for kids or those who aren't ready to face the big rides like Nitro, Batman etc. After Blackbeard we went to the arcade near the Lake not sure of the name, spent 5 bucks got one of the rechargeable cards...i gotta say those Win a Zippo games are RIGGED one of my friends got it lined up with the Yankees Zippo...magnet didn't fit...After the arcade it was getting hot out so we went to the Log Flume but it had gotten significantly cooler by the time we had gotten on it was about a 45 minute wait. We took a walk down to Bizarro because our "Master Plan" was to go on the Log Flume get all wet then go on Bizarro to dry off cause of the fire...did it happen that way? Absolutely not it was a 2 hour wait and we didn't feel like waiting all cold and in wet clothes so we walked over the bridge (which I had never been aware of before Thursday) to see what El Toro's like was like i think it was an hour and half and still cold and wet we didn't go on that either and one of my friend's was complaining of a headache so he saw Rolling Thunder and I said why not haven't been on it in a while so we went up the Blue Side saw the Red Side had no wait so we went down the line to Red..1 ride wait...that ride is in some SERIOUS need for rehab i hope to see rehab for Rolling Thunder in 2011. After Rolling Thunder my friend was still complaining of a headache so we went and grabbed our stuff from the locker we had rented for the Log Flume and while walking out to the car to relax for a bit my friend saw Houdini (that he had never been on) so we went on that in my opinion it's not as fun when you know what's going on and that you don't really go upside down (although that could kind of be assumed because the restraint is a lap bar) so after Houdini we went out to the car relaxed for about a half hour hoping some schools would leave which we were hoping would ease up some of the lines not sure how that went but we did see schools meeting up to (I assume) head out when we walked back to go on Kingda Ka..when we got to Kingda Ka we asked the person at the front checking heights to see what to expect how long the line was he said about 90 minutes so we walk to the end of the line, I put my ipod on by the 3rd song (about 12 minutes later) we were in the station so what we expected to be a 90 minute wait was only around 20-25 minutes (NICE!!!) both sides were running and I was determined to ride front row so we saw the back train on the left side had a 4 train wait and I can't explain in words how nervous I was I had never ridden the front row on Kingda Ka before it was the most intense experience i've ever had and I don't think I could go back to any other row, when we got off I saw there was NO line at all in the switchbacks i wanted to go again but my other 2 friends were tired and I was outnumbered 2-1 so I lost and we headed back to the car and went home It was an overall good day I'd give it 5.4 flags for the fact that my 3rd friend couldn't join us (which brought it down to 4 flags) but when we got dominos when we got back home which made added 1.4 flags... My friends and I also pulled an Oops, While we were relaxing in the car we saw the White Shuttle Bus (which we at the time didn't know only went to the drop-off/pick-up area) so when we wanted to leave we saw the bus and not knowing it didn't go to the parking lot we got on then when we arrived at the drop-off/pick-up the bus driver seemed a little annoyed but was very nice and dropped us off in the preferred parking and we walked to the car from where he dropped us off We plan on going July 5th (I'm going to see the NYC Fireworks on the 4th and I've heard it's insanely packed that day) as the Summer Camp I work at is closed that day and my 3rd friend would rather go on a weekday and we promised we would take her since we were all bummed she couldn't join us...How packed is the park usually on July 5th??? We plan on getting a Flash Pass(es) that day and I have my Skip the Line Pass which I plan on using on Kingda Ka that day Ride Count: Nitro x2 Skull Mountain x1 Blackbeard's x1 Houdini x1 Log Flume x1 Rolling Thunder x1 Kingda Ka x1
  10. I thought I wouldve been told by the person who processed my pass where to go to get it.. I guess I was a little too excited and just wanted to start hitting the rides because it was early in the day and it was my first trip of the season...if I'm not mistaking the Bring a Friend Free tickets are in the book????? I told a few people Id be able to take them for free...I hope I won't be S.O.L when I go again if I am I'm gonna regret not getting the book if I had known I could go in the exit I wouldve I didn't want to look like an @$$
  11. Yesterday when I went to Great Adventure (Only got on great american scream machine, el toro (last row, almost **** my pants), kingda ka, bizarro (awesome) and Nitro (last row, excellent ride) because the lines were so long ughh!!) I processed my Season Pass but didn't get a coupon book and I didn't want to wait in the long line just for a coupon book, Can I pick it up next time I come to the park and do I have to go to the Processing place for it, if not where else can I go to get it??
  12. Change of plans due to the Flood Watch in effect from Monday through Tuesday. I will be at SFGA on Thursday (my friend's birthday) instead of Tuesday
  13. I'm having trouble drawing a picture of where it is...can you help me out a little bit...I know the old one was right next to the "Fly Me to the Moon" building? I've never had a season pass but I've seen the building but I'm not 100% sure where it was
  14. I'm only going with my non-crippled friend on Tuesday but I'll be back with my other friend when his leg/knee is all healed
  15. I'll be there Tuesday! can't wait First season with a Season Pass can't wait
  16. I'm going to be ordering my season pass sometime tomorrow (I always wait til the last minute) It says I can use print-n-go thing...Just clarifying if I use that I print out whatever it tells me to print out when I get my pass processed they will give me an actual card or the actual pass that I will use after I go march 30th??? That's what I'm understanding it as just making sure that's what happens Thanks for the help!
  17. Anyone who works at Great Adventure be sure to be on the lookout on March 30th for me (I'll be wearing a Red or Blue shirt with a Maltese Cross with a "1" in the middle with "BVFC" written on the back...that is if it's mad nice out and I don't have to wear a sweatshirt which I'm hoping for if the forecast stays warm with temps in the high 50s to low 60s that would be mad nice or even mid to high 60s would be better
  18. it changes everyday so you gotta keep checking it
  19. How fast do the winds have to be to close down Nitro, Kingda Ka etc.????? Here's a 15 day forecast for Jackson, NJ http://www.myforecast.com/bin/expanded_for...mp;metric=false
  20. Hey guys, One of my friends I'm (supposed) to be going to Great Adventure with 3 weeks (holy !@#$ thats not long seems like yesterday it was November) from tomorrow (March 30th) broke his knee last Saturday (February 27th) and he is getting surgery next Tuesday because he tore ligaments in his leg or something i don't know the full story (March 16th), Assuming his doctor and mother give the thumbs up for him to go which I'm really hoping for because I might not be able to find a third person to go and I don't want to be driving 2 hours away with just 1 other person, I might have to bring him in a wheel chair. What rides will he/ will he not be allowed to ride if any? Am I allowed to bring my own wheelchair without renting it at the park? What is the policy about disabled people in wheelchairs? I think i remember people in wheel chairs get to skip to the front of the line? And how many guests are allowed to go with the disabled person if i remember correctly? Thanks in advance!!
  21. If i could somehow score a free season pass that'd be so prime but it'll never happen so i'm not going to get my hopes up
  22. I wish i had the money for a season pass
  23. You sound A LOT like my Earth Science teacher lol
