I went to Fright Fest today after arriving back in the USA from Europe this morning. I'll have a trip report tomorrow after a good nights sleep.

Total Darkness was unique. As the name implies it is totally dark inside and guests are sent in groups of ten or so all holding on to a piece a rope. The lead person is given a small flashlight. Strange experience!

I went on Saturday and did all 5 of the three skull attractions. The Manor and Total Darkness were real disappointments. In TD we didn't even run into anybody for the second half of the maze. In the first half every so often somebody would whisper something back to us or slam on the walls. Neither one was that impressive. IMO if your time is limited you're much better off going to one of the three outdoor ones. Wasteland and Voodoo were really cool, the Asylum seemed to be missing people. It seemed like there should have been something happening in the second half of it in the strobe section. It just felt like there should have been people outside of the fence of something. There was a lot of confusion going on as far as the time trails would open. We kept getting different answers. Manor and TD opened around 5. I don't think Voodoo opened until about 7:15. the Asylum scarepass line is really poorly marked. You have to go to the end of the wall near a fence and then through an employees only door. I don't think many employees realize this yet because a lot were turning people away only for them to come back and insist they were supposed to be there. Once past the door you can clearly see the other line. I guess things were just a bit rough due to the new indoor attractions and the early start to the season. Everything was running except the log flume and you can see it's done for the year. The flash pass now supports the Safari. I thought it was excluded but apparently it's not.
