  1. Interesting, the real amazing thing about this is if someone is actually willing to buy a TOGO. .
  2. Super Mario World Altoids or Tic Tacs?
  3. Congratulations, guys! Hopefully this will spark some publicity, the best of luck to your sales.
  4. ^No, we didn't see that, but now I wish I did. Thanks a lot for the comment, 29yrswithaGApass, that made my day!
  5. ^ Are you kidding me? The weather scared a LOT of people away, allowing for major re-rides. It was a big bummer that they cancelled the shows yesterday, but what are you gonna do? You can read my TR for yesterday here.
  6. A gloomy, rainy day at Six Flags. Perfect!! Wow, that was fast. This was my first time riding this, and it was AWESOME. Great theming, too At least the park's #1 clown is doing well in the weather. It turns out this years map wasn't lying. Toro and Thunder are also doing well in the rain. Toro + Back row + 3 times = Best thing ever Taz is the Halloween spirit. Mandatory Kool-Aid fountain shot I'm so mad that this was cancelled. Nitro was running all day. I have to start riding this more often Justin and Dillon fooling around in Wiggles World Justin sure liked Wiggles World. Roger here was nice enough to show us some magic tricks. I keep thinking what it would be like if they replaced this with the Tumbler from the Nolan films. A scrambled mess of track I finally get a shot of DK's trains I somehow got involved in a Mr. Six Dance Party. The rest of the group is ready for Kingda Ka! They all screamed like Banshees. Ka's closed section I'm surprised that they let the tigers out at all yesterday. Another tiger shot Almost forgot about this. The spooky walk The famous Fright Fest sedan The Fright Fest Hearse Justin and Dillon fooling around again. We're all ready for the teacups Another shot of the sexy upgrade A intersting piece of merchandise I found at El Mercado. Let's play "Find the Train". I just finally realized that this sign lights up. Waiting in the rain for 5 minutes for a flamethrower shot = Priceless Last pic of the day. Thanks for reading!
  7. TR: I'll try to be as brief as I can. My high school was doing a trip to Fright Fest only open to a handful of kids, so I signed up. I was placed in a group with people I only sort of knew before this: Mia, Claire, Justin, and Dillon. We arrived around 9:00 so I had to pass the time by reading and sleeping. When the park opened, I was surprised that so few people were behind the ribbon to the west side of the park, during Fright Fest no less! It turns out that the weather scared A LOT of people away, and every single ride we got on was either a walk on or had a wait of at most 15 minutes. Fortunately, it didn't rain a lot during the day and I brought an umbrella anyways. A lot of the rides we went on were actually firsts for some members of the group. We also got to snag a lot of re-rides, including Batman 4 times in a row! Unfortunately, because of the weather, some coasters like El Toro and Bizarro were only running with one train, and some flats like Fling and Buccaneer weren't running at all for no good reason. Also, all of the night activities including Dead Man's Party were cancelled and the park closed early at 7:00 PM. :grrr: Other than that, it was an awesome day. Ridelist: Batman: The Ride 4x El Toro 3x Bizarro 3x Kingda Ka 2x Nitro 2x GASM 2x Superman 1x Dark Knight 1x Rolling Thunder (both sides) 1x Skull Mountain 1x Blackbeard 1x Jolly Roger 2x Twister 2x Teacups 2x Houdini 1x Elvira 1x Overall: 9.5/10 The rain, cancelled events and early closing were a letdown, but the major re-rides and abundance of other rides was very much redeeming. I'll post my pictures a little later.
  8. ^ Wow, just wow. Anyways, even though everyone including myself knew that this was eventually going to happen at one point or another, I'm excited for this. The The ride will have plenty of space and I'm happy they did this for HH's 10th anniversary.
  9. I really hope SFOG can bounce back from this, because the last time a Six Flags was flooded...well, you know.
  10. Originally, I thought it was going to be painted all red, like the Parachute Tower in Coney Island. After seeing the recent pictures, it looks much better with the variety of colors. Now someone just has to alter the ride spotlight...
  11. Game Gear, the lesser of two evils The Simpsons or Futurama?
  12. Spectacular photos. I was quite surprised to development of the Parachutes & Houdini later in the season, but they look promising!
  13. New Super Mario Bros. Wii Electric Guitar or Bass Guitar?
  14. Wow, the Disney parks have a lot on their hands for the future: This, the Star Tours sequel, the $1.1 billion rehaul of California Adventure, and Shanghai Disneyland in 2014. Talk about a crowd-pleasing chain.
  15. I'd love to see the fireworks come back next year. And even if they don't, it would be a nice treat for the 50th anniversary in 2011.
  16. Sounds interesting, but I think most people will stick with the Season Pass.
  17. Photos: The glorious Kingda Ka Group shot! Imagine if the beam hit the Coney Island Cyclone or Boulder Dash Big Wheel at sundown Nitro & Batman at sundown I love it when it has no line Nitro + night = I love the new light display. Thanks for reading!
  18. Description: A few months ago, I got some discount tickets to Six Flags from my school since we went as a school a few months ago, so I decided to use them for this visit. Also, my uncle who lives in New Jersey and his son accompanied us for a bit of a reunion. My sister also also brought her friend, Danielle, since we had an extra ticket. And when we went up to scan the tickets, they apparently don't work with the scanners, so we wasted half an hour and $10 per ticket to get them updated, and now I have to go get my money back from the school. After that ordeal, me, my uncle, and my cousin went to Kingda Ka first since it just re-opened a few days ago, only to find out it has a delayed opening. So, we went to El Toro & rode it twice (each with a 15 minute wait), and immediately went to Rolling Thunder after, which only had one train on both sides. My Uncle & Cousin only rode the right side, and I rode both sides. After a quick ride on Runaway Mine Train, we took the Skyride to the other side of the park where my Mom, sister, & her friend were waiting for us. While we were gone, they rode Skull Mountain, Fantasy Fling, and Buccaneer multiple times. My sister and her friend ironically rode Nitro first, even though they usually ride small rides all day. After a quick ride on Skull Mountain, we had lunch outside of the park at KFC. After lunch, we went our separate ways again with myself, my unlce & cousin riding on Nitro first with a twenty minute wait. Then, we went on Congo Rapids because I had never gone on it before, and it was really fun even though all of the effects are gone. We decided to skip the Dark Knight & Batman because they each had really long lines, so we went in to see the Xploratorium, which was pretty impressive for something that used to be a roller coaster prop. After that we tried to go on GASM, but it broke down right as we got on line, but we noticed that Kingda Ka was finally running, so we stopped by there. Kingda Ka was a half-hour wait with every train running, and was well worth it since it was my first time of the year and their first time at all. After that we went over to Bizarro, which was an hour & 15 minute wait with a more than full queue. My cousin & I went in the back row & he thought the sound system was really good even though it was the movie quote soundtrack . After that, my uncle & cousin decided to call it a day & I was on my own. I decided to ride GASM and was surprised that the entire white car and station had been covered in an ad for hair gel . After a quick ride on Twister, I went back over to Kingda Ka for another exciting ride. I met up with the rest of the family and we took a ride on the Big Wheel. Then, my mom went to the car and the rest of us rode the Dark Knight Coaster, which now has a stobelight and a very loud train horn at the end of the ride. After that, I went on Nitro by myself, which is ten times better at night. After dinner at McDonald's we were on our way home. Ride Count: Kingda Ka 2x El Toro 2x Nitro 1x Bizarro 1x GASM 1x Dark Knight Coaster 1x Rolling Thunder (each side) 1x Skull Mountain 1x Runaway Train 1x Blackbeard 1x Twister 1x Big Wheel 1x Congo Rapids 1x Overall: 9/10. The typical summer lines were a letdown, but I'm just happy I got to rie Kingda Ka again. I'll post the pictures later, thanks for reading!

  21. Description: Myself and my family took a small vacation to Pittsburgh, PA and I had Kennywood on the brain. My sister spent the first half of the day in the hotel room & the second half with my mom, who spent the first half of the day with me. We got to the park around 10:45 and I headed straight for the famous Phantom's Revenge coaster, which was about a 10 minute with only one train running. I have to say, it has to be one of the best coasters I've ever been on with some of the best airtime I've had on a roller coaster. The best part was that I was able to ride it a total of six times that day, half of which were in the back row. 10/10 After Phantom, I rode Thunderbolt, a wooden coaster from the 1960's that was interesting because it (as well as Jack Rabbit) start out with a few drops before the chain lift. I expected a tame, ordinary woodie but found it to be an awesome, exciting ride. 8.5/10 After Thunderbolt, we rode a lot of the flat rides Kennywood is famous for including Volcano, Ghostwood Estate, the new Bayern Kurve, King Kahuna (which I just found out had been put up for sale), as well as the historic Turtle and Noah's Ark. Also, I'm unashamed to admit that I rode the Lil' Phantom coaster for the credit (2/10). After lunch at McDonald's, I was dropped of at the park by myself because my mom had to get back to my sister. I rode The Exterminator, another Wild Mouse in a box (7/10), Pitt Fall, Swing Shot, Aero 360, and Wave Swinger, all of which were fun. Afterwards, I rode the Racer coaster, about a 15 minute wait, which very good considering it's old age. Even though our side won, no one else besides me tried to do the famous hand touch 8/10. I also rode Jack Rabbit, which I have to admit was the most tame wooden roller coaster of the three in the park, but it was still good. 7.5/10. Since I had ridden all of the coasters, most of the good flat rides, bought my souvenier Phantom key chain, and since my feet were tired, I called my mom and asked her to pick me up. The entire family had T.G.i. Friday's for dinner, and it was a perfect end to a perfect day. Rides: Phantom's Revenge- 6x Thunderbolt- 1x Racer- 1x Exterminator- 1x Jack Rabbit- 1x Lil' Phantom- 1x Volcano- 2x Turtle, Aero 360, Noah's Ark, Swing Shot, Pitt Fall, Pirate, Wave Swinger, King Kahuna, Ghostwood Estate, Bayern Kurve- 1x (each) Overall: 10/10. A perfect day at a great, old fashioned amusement park. I wish I had gone next year so I could ride the new coaster that was just announced. I'll post the pictures later. Thanks for reading!
  22. I really hope it is up sooner because I'm going to the Park for the last time this year in three weeks & I haven't been able to ride it this season. But still, if it's open at all for the rest of the season, that'll be great.
  23. Plus we have to worry about Tango as well...
