Hi Everyone,
Take a journey over Six Flags Great Adventure from Summer of 1994. I shot this Home Video with our 8mm SONY camcorder as a passenger in my Dad's 1946 Fairchild airplane. Even though our camcorder did not have image stabilization, most of the video is fairly steady and I think you will enjoy it.
You have (2) options for viewing, depending on your connection speed (Right Click and Save File to Your Computer FIRST):
Take your pick !!!

Nice Update....Thanks for Posting
I'm still wondering if I will be able to FIT into the cars. From the picture I saw floating around the internet of the cars, I think I will. The leg room looks greater than a standard wild mouse, which I cannot fit into, and even more than Skull Mountain. But only time will tell.

You beat me to it, Tom, but thanks for posting the gallery . I was overjoyed when I came across this video since I forgot I had shot it way back when. And with the helpful use of the TMPGEnc software, I was able to get these screen grabs. I'll post the video soon...
Thanks for the comments

Yes, Jungle Habitat IS on my shoot-list for the next nice day that I am in the area. I have sporadic pictures here and there of the area in general with of course the airport as the main element, but none of just the ruins.
I believe that the access roads to and from West Milford/Greenwood Lake were the demise of this park. My Dad tells me of a colleague of his said he waited on line for literally hours, just to get IN, and were even diverted onto the airport's taxi-way/runway because there were too many cars and just not enough parking areas. IMO, the only way that this park could have survived, especially if they were to expand, was if one of the two-lane roads was opened-up to a 4-lane thoroughfare.
I was there once as a child with my Mom and Grandmother, and we did drive thru the Safari. I distinctly remember the bumper to bumper traffic going thru in a HOT, un-airconditioned car. I also got to ride an Elephant and a Camel. Then my buddy and I drove there to explore back in the early 90's, when the huts, buildings and really neat bamboo/stick/whatever bridge was still intact. I only wish I took pictures back then like I do now wherever I go.....
GAcoaster - So, where's that message about the fly-over ???

Sorry about the "Distant" views of Whalom park, but these were shot in my "Early" years of aerial photoraphy before I paid attention to detail, and shooting amusement parks from the air was just for giggles.
Thanks for your comments !!!

No need for a PM, as I've been reading many posts regarding the removal of a number of flats. Rest assured, I'll get pictures of these areas on my next flyover, whenever that takes place. And at the rate we're going with icy, wintry weather, that may not be 'til NEXT YEAR

You know, guys, I was just looking at my pics of this coaster from February 2007. I am so happy I had the chance to photograph this classic before it had a double date with the wrecking ball and bull dozer

Awesome - Construction Photos - Thanks for sharing these, Harry. Whenever I get a decent weekend for flying, I want to get out to Hershey and get some Aerial shots of the site and construction.

I know what you mean, Harry. Each time I over-fly the castle, it always amazes me how "sandwiched" the rather "tiny" castle looks between these two large factories. Seems like the castle should have some land of its own so it can show itself off a bit more.
Oh, and when you go to the park to look around, see if you can spot the rail road pilings in the river. I could see these from the air, and they show a clear diagram as to just what route the rail road took....

Well, that answers that. Thanks

The Gingerbread Castle, located in Hamburg, NJ, entertained many a youngsters back in the 50's, 60's and 70's, and probably even before that. But, just like most good things, they seem to come to an end. The park had a Castle (which you will see in the photos), a museum/store/(restaurant ???) that sold none other than Gingerbread eats, and even a mini-diesel train existed on the property as well, in the shape of a figure-8. I remember riding taking this train ride back in the mid 70's when my Mom and Grandmother took me there. It was a very clean and happy place. You wouldn't think so looking at the photos from my gallery, though. The train track pilings for the curve over the river are still in place - see if you can spot them !!! Here are the photos:

Hi Everyone,
Whalom Park once existed in Lunenburg, MA, but was razed a few years ago. It sat next to a lake, and was in a picturesque location. I'm just sorry I hadn't gone "digital" yet when I took these photos, and also wish I flew closer and zoomed-in a bit more. Anyway, something is better than nothing, so here they are:

Hi Everyone,
Yes, Fairy Tale Forest, a children's park located in Oak Ridge, NJ, bit the dust several years ago, and now a storage facility has been built on part of its land. Some structures of this park still exist, though, in addition to the main entrance, roadside sign, parking lot and some other structures like the SHOE, from "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe"....Look for it in the gallery. It is YELLOW, and near the front entrance.
You can find the Gallery HERE !!!
