I loved this ride even though it was a pain in the neck.....
literally. However this ride was a classic! The boardwalk will never be the same without this ride! R.I.P Great American Scream Mchine 1989-2010.
Being the Chiller fan that I am I would try to bring back The Chiller and fix the problems it had. I would devote Six Flags into finding out why this ride never ran "as planned" with both sides launching at the same time. The Chiller was always a crowd pleaser when it came to the actual ride. It was quite an unique experience. I would also expand the Movietown area and bring in another LIM launched coaster. Mr. Freeze from Six Flags OT and St. Louis. I love the LIM coaster experience. I would totally revamp the Movietown side and re-name it Gotham City. Add more buildings and effects like lighting and fog effects. The new and improved Gotham City would be like a theme park within a even bigger theme park. Having revamped the Movietown area I would also have to improve on other areas of the park. I would deal with the areas more than the rides adding more theme elements to each section creating a better and more interactive setting. The whole Six Flags image will coast towards a Disney/Universalesc mentality.
With Great Adventure expanded every year the addition of a monorail through each park seems appropriate? Maybe not a monorail, but a different type of transportation besides the trams they have.
I have to say that Looney Toones Seaport was my favorite part of the park growing up! The Taz monster truck ride, the roadrunner coaster, all of it. I loved it all!
How about add a story line to Congo Rapids? Going back to the "themed" type of rides? It will def. revamp the ride and bring in more customers. Having Congo Rapids do a "Jaws-like attraction" would be exciting don' you think?
Medusa is one of my favorite rides! I love the feeling you get when you feel your almost touching the track!
Come to think of it I love all B&M coasters. There my favorite company.
My most favorite ride in the park hands down. I was never lucky enough to ride the Batman side because of all of the rides problems. Robin was great though! I remember I use to call in advance to see if the Batman side of the Chiller was open. Thats how obsessed I am with this ride. My heart dropped when I heard about the accident in the 2007 season. I knew the ride was a goner.
I was also able to ride Joker's Jinx at SFGA and it didn't feel the same. It wasen't as exciting.
P.s- I haven't gone back to sfga since Chiller has been removed
