  1. To everyone saying the park doesn't have enough family coasters now that Rolling Thunder is gone:

    1. The Dark Knight

    2. Skull Mountain

    3. Runaway Mine Train

    4. Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train

How many other parks have this kind of a lineup? Look at Dorney, they have two family coasters. Hershey has 3-4 depending on what you consider to be a family coaster. Do you think families just ride roller coasters? They don't. Go to another amusement park and see. You'll notice families go on more flats than they do coasters. Those of you posting that clearly haven't been to that many parks. Once you go to more you will see how good the family coaster selection at Great Adventure is.

This is spot on. I agree 100%

  2. Does the park really need another headliner? I mean look at this:

    -Tallest coaster in the world

-Best wooden coaster in the world

    -Top Hyper Coaster

-Tallest Drop Tower in the world

    -B&M Floorless

    -B&M Stand-Up

Those right there are the park's top 6 attractions. One is being added next year. The only park that is in the same echelon is CP. The GP will understand if they take a year off from thrills. What we truly need are thematic updates, shows, a good dark ride, a good water ride, an intermediate coaster(like a GCI) and a few more good flats. That being said, 2015 is probably the year for a new coaster, just based on this management and past history.

I like this idea of a GCI and not to extreme i mean those coasters can have the tiniest space and fit a lot of twists and turns! And yes I would like to see the return of splash water falls!

  3.

According to Screamscape, they stated that "Zumanjaro comes up with no results at all and appears to be simply made up, as if they tried to put Zu in font of Kilamanjaro," so i'm surprised they used the name with no meaning to it.

I was acutally just thinking that the other day. If it was on the other side of KK than it would be easy, but now, I have no clue what they are gonna do, maybe just put the name and picture and have an arrow point to it?

  4. Honestly. I'm not expecting much. I don't think they would ever move Hurricane Harbor. They could easily run shuttle buses between the two and only have one ticket for both... But it wouldn't make sense to move all the existing slides. I also can't imagine them reopening Old Country when they now have this huge area (where Rolling Thunder is) to develop and expand.

2015 - Since 2014 is all about thrills, a new kids area near Kingda Ka or a refurbishment of the current ones. Maybe a family flat or two. If there is a new kiddie area there probably wouldn't be the budget for a new coaster. The children's rides aren't the super expensive part, but staffing them is along with maintaining 5-10 rides.

2016 - A new coaster near the base of Kingda Ka. Most likely a wingrider or smaller wood coaster).

2017 - Hopefully another expansion to the new area where Rolling Thunder is. I would like a small spinning coaster, or family suspended coaster, but those wouldn't bring in huge crowds. Another possibility would be a new water ride back by Kingda Ka. Great Adventure desperately needs water rides.

I think that during this time the park also needs to be re-branded. Locals see the park as an overpriced way to spend a day. People love the rides, but the park itself doesn't have a good reputation. Six Flags needs to prove that this is a high quality theme park, not just a Six Flags. And I'm hoping to do this they take a year and instead of using the new rides budget for new attractions, use it for park improvements. Most people will notice the differences. Six Flags could even market the changes (better crowd control, better ride operations, better landscaping, better food, rides running with less downtime)... If I were in control this would be my highest priority.

im not quite sure of what you mean in that last part but i think i disagree. by re-branding do you mean no more six flags? no! six flags is building the park up!
