  1. The last surviving spillwater drops on Arrow flumes were on the now gone Fuji-Q Highlands log flume and the still operational Log Jammer at Kennywood. When I visited a month before they removed it Fuji Q, I took a picture of the drop from their pedal monorail.
  2. Its interesting to note that at SFSTL the waterfalls still work. When their Rapids waterfalls fake rock section collapsed, they found a way to fix them. Since redoing the rocks was cost prohibitive, they instead added a new themed wall with the waterfalls coming down from the top. So, it leaves only SFGADV and Great Escape with non working waterfalls in the chain. Holly, the course cannot be changed, but you can make the ride faster by adjusting the water flow from the pumps. Hope you get your cast off soon!
  3. Intamin had nothing to do with the Soarin' rides. A WDI imagineer invented the concept and a steel mill in Vancouver, BC build the giant erector sets that lift the cars in front of the screens. Vekoma and Huss already built copies of it. I tried the Vekoma version in Taiwan and it was a nice concept. Basically, to get around the erector set patent held by WDI, the Vekoma version loads in a room and then your suspended car just move forward in front of the screen. Nice images and the suspended car had side movements, as opposed to Soarin;. Huss sold a few ride systems similar to it in China and I believe one in Taiwan.
  4. Ouch! City Jet are evil... I rode the last operating one in France (at Nigloland, "Bobsleigh") and the second drop actually broke one of my rib! Fun ride beside that! How many Jet Star and its many bigger siblings are left in the world? Seems like every park has removed them already.
