I hope not but do you think holidays in the park will have upcharge sections or shows? Besides Santa Claus of course. Not sure what they could do.

I am curious. What's on the list of rides park was supposed to get?

I would agree that Skyscreamer, El Diablo and Zumanjaro are thrill flat rides and not family rides. My wife would never go on a coaster and would never consider these rides. Skyscreamer is too high for her and a person who does not ride coasters will not loop around on El Diablo. The park is losing family groups. With no dark rides that can be enjoyed together and no shows, it does not pay for a family of four to make a trip there. I enjoy this website very much but do see that it is made up primarily of coaster enthusiasts. They alone cannot lead a park to success. I consider GA a thrill park and not theme park.

I will say that the park needs more family rides. I have a three year old. In a few years, the kid section will be too small for him. My wife is not a ride person. At that point, we would not be able to enjoy a day together. Maybe going to Disney spoiled us. But we saw rides that could be enjoyed together for years. I know this park is nothing like Disney and never will be. But I feel this area has little to no attention paid to it.

Same. I can't wait to see how the park is decorated. Last year I took my son to StoryBook Land which was amazing. The year before was Hershey. This year I can go to my home park.

Wonder if the meal plan will work for this as well.

I am sure it will not happen but as a father of a three year old, I would love to see more family style rides. The JL dark ride and family rides would be a great asset and bring many back to the park.

Do season pass holders have access to all of these concerts for no additional charge?

I didn't have any issues with FastPass+ when I went in November. Now i didn't opt for a fourth pass but I felt the system worked well.

Does anybody remember how much the dining pass cost at the beginning of the season last year? I thought it was cheaper than we see now.

Any way to purchase over the phone? I am on vacation in myrtle beach. I called up and they said no. No computer here and the website to purchase uses flash so my phone won't work

My wife got a phonecall today saying she "won" a free cruise based on an entry filled out in the park. It is supposedly a three night four day cruise with airfare included. Only responsible for port fees and taxes. We would have to go in the next few days to retrieve the voucher. I am sure this is more of a sales pitch than an actual giveaway. Has anyody else received the same thing? My guess is it would be a scam. Thanks

Was it very crowded?

I am not sure how well a hotel would work. I don't see GA as a park that many people would travel to for an extended period of time. Being where it is located, you have NY, NJ and PA customers who can visit the park and drive back home. Is there much to do or see for more than one day? If somebody was coming from the midwest, I would think they stay closer to NYC or in Philadelphia and mage GA a day trip. A coaster enthusiast may want to visit on multiple days. But this would be a small percentage and not one you can base off of.

How many people can the Arena in GA hold? While I know it is very unlikely that a major act such as Springsteen would play there, there are many others who I think could fit. As you said older acts on the way down. Take Bryan Adams for example. I saw him at the State Theatre in New Brunswick last year. This does not hold many people. I would think an act like this would be reasonable with an upcharge.

Hershey has Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band (my favorite) and Bruno Mars so far. Great Adventure doesn't come anywhere close to this..definitely need an improvement here.

I just went to Hershey for the weekend and had a great time. We also took my 2 year old son to Sesame and loved it there as well. Next year I may spend the weekend in Busch Gardens. It's a shame Great Adventure does not offer a holiday event

I had posted not too long ago asking about Great Adventure for toddlers. With the great feedback I received here I bought season passes. My son has had a great time. Thank you! I am thinking of taking a trip with just my wife and I. How much do lockers cost so we can change clothes? Are lockers open or are they in changing room andI need to purchase two? Is it true that you need to purchase tubes for lazy river?
