That's another argument I keep hearing is "SFMM doesn't need another coaster.", "(Insert other park name here) deserves the coaster more". When it comes down to it this is a company that needs to conserve money and there are really only three or four parks that NEED major additions next season to make the company have a good year (SFMM, SFGAdv, SFGAm) which are all getting relatively major new attractions for next season. Those are the parks that make or break the company's financial performance. This new management team has realized that the Burke team was correct in deciding that many of the parks (but SFMM in particular) are THRILL parks. The only thing that makes SFMM successful is its being a unique park for coasters. The California market has got the market cornered when it comes to THEME parks, but thrills are what SF can do better.

You know, you really make a valid point, I have never viewd it that way before. Though I still stand with most people,in the fact that other parks do deserve a new coaster more but with it being such an "important" year they kind of do need to focus on the mothership parks more, but still the other parks need something new to be brought in to pull some crowds.

Starting to question it myself, im just wondering why it was called into eso (the office) and my boss, a director, would say that it collapsed if it didnt.

Not that it fell onto Gk entrance. The upper most part of the lift, that one tower, apparently collapsed this morning before operating hours.

The length/layout is dull and unexciting. The area surrounding the ride needs to be worked on with more plants to feel like you IN the congo, maybe some new effects. Animlas popping out of the water and such. As you ride around its employee watch pots and trees and some dirt. VERY dull.

I wonder with the recent snow if twister and FF have been put back together, were only a few weeks from opening day!

Not only if they have been reassembled, but has any work been able to be completed on tornado either, it was just arriving in pieces when all these back to back snow storms hit.

Oh, and when is another update? Im guessing sometime these next 2 weeks before openig.

You all are lucky. Im in NC right now, we have gotten a combined total of 9 inchs this winter, and this morning it snowed an inch or 2, lets just say its only 11:12 as I type this and the snows gone. It doesnt last here.

Are the legal problems with kentucky kingdoms rides going to effect the 2011 plans for the other parks?

One would assume alot of their rides would be relocated as new attractions, but with these legal issues who knows how many SF will get. And with chang, they removed it before they announced the closing, so I think it should belong to SF.

I love it, they seem to have painted nearly every building, and the gate! Great job SF!!!

Looking at pic 2 on page 1, I realized, they could add a pretty sizeable addition to the grandstand. Everytime i watched the show the stands were full to capacity and people were left standing everywhere. They could easily add a good size portion to the right side ( left if you were on the ground standing behind the stands)

Does not look like much is happening with Old Country again. Probably still be at least a few years before they do anything with that section.

As of this past season Kane said himself he has no intention of opening old country any time soon. Not needed unless something major was added to the general area. And that area is lacking a nice size plot, they are not going to remove the picnic grove, it brings in to much money.

The only good plot available would be if they tore out the showcase theater and the stuntarena, which I personally do not see happening.

I agree. Though I think the area that needs the most help, like mentioned above, is lake front! Its horrible. Bring in a petting zoo again!

Ok, So for seniors in HS here in NC, you have to complete a senior project in order to graduate, which is a huge thing, its so aggervating. Nut mine is on roller coaster construction, I have set up private construction tours at Carowinds and KD for Intimidator and Intm 305, there will be plenty of pictures and a Q&A session, I need questions that relate to the coasters construction and general coaster construction. Any good ideas, please share. Be spacific which coaster the question is for please.

Know for a fact im going to BGE christmas town. I have never been to Hershey for theirs, but have heard good things about it.

I dont understand that mumbo jumbo. But it seems clear that they did poor compared to last year.

I think its the RMT fort. Its in more need or a rehab.

Maybe this is like a trial to see how the turn out is for a possible Holiday in the Park in furture years. I hope so.

I flew up to jersey this past weekend for fright fest, Im am not mad at the park but im mad at the weather, I must say, had to be my WORST GADv trip EVER. Cold, bitterly. Rain, everything was cancelled, no life in the park. It was horrible. So my fright fest experience this year absolutly sucked. DMP was cancelled, along with every other thing there was. Just kind of makes me livid, mainly because I bought VIP passes about a month ago and wasted all that money, didnt even need them. Matter of fact, I didnt even bring them in the park when I pulled in the parking lot.

BTW: I got to see the parachutes in person! THEY ARE GREAT! I ws very happy about that..and it says six flags on it!! =]

So it seems they are annouceing everything today.

And BTW: I want to see a press release for MM new coaster, cause thats ridiculous. We cant go off of what he said practically a year ago. I dont know, I dont think its gonna happen.
