  1. I highly doubt that Seaport will be staying, but if it does maybe that just means they'll revamp it next year idk. But I am so excited for this ride, I wonder how loading will be. We will be able to pick our car?
  2. Agree 100% the dispatches are ridiculous, and it really just never seems worth it, it's a fun ride and all but just not worth the long line it always has.
  3. I rarely have time to go to GA anymore, but I do try and go at least once a year. However when I used to have time to visit GA and would visit once or twice a week I would almost never ride Superman because the line was so long. It still is the case every time I visit now, even though its once a year, even on a slow day Superman has a decent line. I've lived in Jackson for 19 years now, and Superman has been open for 16 years now, and I can honestly say I've probably ridden it only 10 times. So my question for you guys is do you really ever ride Superman? Is it a go to ride? Or do you ignore it because waiting on line would be better on other rides (such as Kingda Ka/El Toro). Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the ride, I just feel as if the line is always so terribly long it's almost never worth it.
  4. Everything is a backrow for me...... ......except Kingda Ka and Green Lantern, both are too forceful in the back for enjoyment, Kingda Ka is a middle seater or front row for me, while Green Lantern I will only ride in the front row no exceptions, that ride is way too rough anywhere else.
  5. I used to go to Six Flags every weekend up until last year where I only went once during Fright Fest, and did not stay long. Last night was the one time I went as well and I am a bit surprised. For one thing the food got very expensive, more than I remember two years ago. I used to be able to pay 5 and change for Cold Stone now it's upwards of $7?! The Golden Kingdom sign is removed, and I get it the pathway no longer connects the two points, but now there it seems like there is random theming before walking into Frontier Adventures or Plaza Del Carnaval, Six Flags needs to reopen the pathway for the Golden Kingdom, for such a beautiful area of the park it is way too neglected. Also Fright Fest decorations were subpar, and I understand it's September and maybe they aren't done, but Fright Fest is in full swing, they should get their stuff together, and if their decorating is done it is not good at all. The entrance area is scarcely decorated and the front entrance has no decorations whatsoever. It used to be so cool to walk into the park seeing the entrance covered in cobwebs and that other stuff along with the entrance plaza shops covered too. This years there's a couple of boards and that's it. The park is feeling very neglected for such a busy park.
  6. I'd be extremely surprised if Great Adventure didn't get a new thrill coaster for 2019, it's long overdue.
  7. Looks like they're getting two themed to Harley Quinn now, nice job Six Flags. But this ride does look cool, at least it's not a skywarp thank god.
  8. I agree with harry that the Log Flume needs to stay regardless, it's a classic. The Go Karts however are most likely gonna stay I don't see them removing them anytime soon, it's tucked away and putting something there would most likely be a waste of time.
  9. Six Flags needs to step up their game, our park has not gotten a unique roller coaster in years and being the highest revenue park I feel as if it deserves a bit more attention. Also with Cedar Fair killing it with their 2018 announcements so far, Six Flags as a whole needs to step up what they're offering and stop with the small copycat roller coasters and rides that are fun for one year and don't last. A high intensity-high capacity roller coaster is extremely overdue and although I highly doubt that is happening for 2018 maybe 2019 we will finally get that.
  10. The reason to complain about season pass prices is that lowering prices can (but not always) equals lower revenue, which equals crappier rides, which equals lower staff, which equals less rides open, which means GA gets left in the dust.
  11. I was in line for total darkness with my friends and I saw a mother bring her probably 3 year old child on.... the kid was crying and she was laughing. Like cmon parents.
  12. I went yesterday and I noticed a decent increase in scare zone ghouls. However what I also noticed is that decorations are lacking in areas that aren't scare zones, and I get it they aren't scare zones but still the park should be totally decorated. Also total darkness is scary in it's own right so even though I only counted 4 actors, I still was scared to death. I also went on the manor which has definetely improved, and the $35 front of the line scare pass is an amazing deal *which i got* and the offer ends today for whoever wants it. Crowd control however is horrific, considering all scare zones range from the fountain and left side of the park(which is also where all the better roller coasters are) everyone swings that way and the park traffic was awful, you couldn't walk anywhere on that side of the park. When Six Flags finally decides to add an attraction in the movietown area like they should I'm hoping they create a "haunted backlot" scare zone which I think would be awesome.
  13. The only real thing we have against Hershey is park design. If any of you have ever been to Hershey you know the way the paths are designed are idiotic, the queues always block park traffic by spilling out and it's just not good.
  14. amen to this I'm praying for something thrilling but everytime I go to the park ever since I've been to Hershey and Dorney I just realize our park seems somewhat rundown compared to other parks.
  15. As far as Giga's go, I don't know where we are gonna put one. They require an enormous amount of room considering how massive they are. Even the space occupied by Nitro would be hard to fit a Giga. So not sure how we are gonna get one. But I'm really praying for a wingrider or a B:TR at SFFT kind of thing because that looks pretty fun. EDIT: Or a GCI *fingers crossed*
  16. I've been to all four parks. Coney Island is definetely not competition. Morey's Pier definetely takes some of our spotlight but not enough to really 'compete' with us. Now down to Dorney and Hershey. Yes Hershey is farther but if you've ever been to both you'd realize that Dorney isn't exactly a 'world class theme park'. Yes it does have some good roller coasters, but when I went I felt like the water park was more of a big deal than the theme park. The roller coasters are good, but not nearly as good as ours. Now Hershey on the other hand that's some real competition. Not only is Hershey more family oriented than us, they are without a doubt close to us as far as world class coasters. Their coasters are great to say the least. Great Bear is one of a kind, Stormrunner is an amazing ride, Skyrush is just awesome, and Fahrenheit is exhilerating. Considering we have nothing like those (Batman and Great Bear do not compete, and Stormrunner is only similar by launch to Kingda Ka) it just causes some real competition to us. Even though its farther, the park is without a doubt world class, coasters, and familywise.
  17. Correct but considering El Toro's extreme similarity to RMCs (steel track, steep drop, nontraditional, fast, not to mention the cars are almost exactly the same for the most part) there would be no need to build an RMC which will give a very similar experience.
  18. I honestly wouldn't mind a nice smooth fast paced GCI, although it would be dwarfed, I hear GCI's are fun and I've always wanted to ride one like Apocalypse in Magic Mountain.
  19. Look I'm just saying to all of you RMC fans..... it is not happening. The Six Flags specialty for RMC is using old wooden roller coasters and refurbing them into something bigger, steel track, wood supports. Do we forget that El Toro is just that, it just looks different. El Toro is a steel track with wooden supports. El Toro is also a new(er) very highly ranked amazing roller coaster, and the only way we will get an RMC is if El Toro is refurbed. And there is no way Six Flags needs to, and I don't see why they'd want too when El Toro isn't old or bad. It's amazing, and newer, and El Toro doesn't fit the resume for the "Six Flags RMC Special" as I'll call it. So sorry guys, the RMC is out. A wingrider is really called for, a new roller coaster is really called for. Great Adventure needs one, considering how much money Six Flags makes off our park investing in it is needed. And I'm not sure what Mr. Six Flags isn't seeing but with our park being one of the top 50 most visited theme parks in the world and the second most visited Six Flags park it's going to become embarrasing and idiotic if Six Flags doesn't invest big soon.
  20. I think the reason it's taking so long to open is due to the queue, scenery, and path rerouting tbh, not the ride itself.
  21. Well I gotta say it's pretty funny hearing trying to pull off this being a coaster for our and like 3 other Six Flags parks who are getting the same thing. We all know this is NOT a coaster and its shameful to hear them try to pull it off as one.
  22. I personally think this is all bs. We cannot be getting that type of ride Six Flags must be out of their minds to even propose such a stupid and idiotic idea. This is how companies go out of business. They can't market this at a world class theme park, if anything it'll be a waste of ride attendants, a loss of money, and no increase to any attendance. This cannot and I can almost guarantee will not be what we are getting, and if it is then I have to say Six Flags is in for it by making horrible decisions such as these. From a business standpoint its awful, and seeing what Cedar Fair does with their parks, Six Flags is being put to complete and utter shame. Step up your game Six Flags.
  23. Yeah but remember bumper cars and scramblers have always been in style, while looping starships are more of a fad and outdated thing now.
  24. I highly doubt we are getting a looping starship, considering we've already had one.
  25. Batman backwards yay, and I'm not sure if you guys see it but I feel like we are getting a record breaking loop roller coaster. The circles and loop signs are all over these clues, not to mension the first post those stuffed animals had the tag "winner" on it. Maybe alluding to we are 'winning' the record of the largest loop? I'm not sure and maybe I'm a little far fetched but that's just what I'm seeing.
