  1. Flash construction hasn't even started yet has it? Wouldn't even be surprised if we have a 2025 opening at this point.
  2. Wow, I gotta say, they absolutely killed it here. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the anniversary. Bravo Six Flags!
  3. Anyone know what the deal is with the souvenir bottles? I purchased a diamond pass a couple days ago and when I went to the park they told me that the offer for 2023 expired already. Anyone know when they start selling souvenir bottles for next season? The fact that they aren't already selling them is kind of ridiculous. They should be putting them on sale the moment the Flash sale starts.
  4. Six Flags passes went on sale today and I decided to buy a Diamond level pass for the first time. I actually didn't expect these passes to go on sale until September, and since I was looking to go to the park sometime this week (I didn't have a pass previously), I was planning on buying a one day ticket with parking included, but ultimately decided against it due to having an ongoing health issue that would make going to any theme park not very fun. Turns out the Diamond pass via this Flash sale was only $20 more at the end than a day ticket with general parking. Needless to say, I'm very glad I waited.
  5. New gen Vekomas are fairly expensive which probably explains why we haven't seen any here in the states. My guess is closer to 20-25 mil and I don't expect the super boomerang to be cloned at other parks, especially considering the ride itself was a last minute addition that wasn't originally planned.
  6. The stats teaser was honestly pretty disappointing, did they really think enthusiasts weren't going to crack it immediately? They basically slapped the exact ride stats from the Vekoma website on a tweet and called it a hint
  7. The word search is shaped as a 1, and there's 5 rides circled, I assume this is just another way of saying 15th coaster but I could be wrong
  8. Safe to assume they haven't put very much effort into these teasers.
  9. I've heard rumblings from various places (take it with a grain of salt) that red and yellow track was spotted on a truck just outside Baltimore going North up i95. Could be something.
  10. When you put it that way it certainly sounds like something could happen, the JRA regime is long gone so who knows what the chain plans on doing.
  11. Back to back additions like that is part of the reason Six Flags originally went bankrupt. I don't see the chain investing that much into any one park in a two year window ever again. Times were simply different back then.
  12. The odds of getting coasters in back to back years is pretty much zero, not even worth speaking into existence to be honest.
  13. That was my initial guess too. DC themes are kind of redundant but considering the area of the park it's going in I think it'd work really well.
  14. Think there's a chance it'll be Chiller themed? As shown with JDC, the park has done a solid job at working to get meaningful theming done for select attractions. The ride itself doesn't even need to bring Batman & Robin into the picture, it could just be Chiller 2 or Chiller Reimagined, something like that.
  15. Agreed. Six Flags Over Georgia didn't really do anything for their 50th anniversary, while Magic Mountain got the JDC clone and nothing else. We should be thankful that the park is doing all of this for us, and while Selim has faced lots of criticism, I gotta admit he seems to have kept his word when saying the GAdv 50th anniversary would be special.
  16. Honestly I've already talked myself into the boomerang. Outside of capacity, I think it checks alot of boxes (multilaunch forwards and backwards) and it's actually pretty tall, 164ft, meaning it'd be the fourth tallest coaster in the park. A new generation vekoma isn't something I think anyone expected to see at a Six Flags park, so I'll happily welcome it.
  17. They'd have to have a duo loading station or else it'd be a disaster. Dueling coasters would be cool but I can't see it happening unfortunately.
  18. Are you sure? I remember they said during the conference call that the spike in capex was solely due to the ride being added to the park, not including everything else that was already planned. I could've easily misinterpreted that though.
  19. So with what we've heard so far, I think it's safe to assume (doesn't mean it's confirmed) the following: 1. The ride, being a last minute addition, was likely intended for another park, but was then cancelled, allowing GAdv to swoop in at the last second. Funnily enough, it will not have been the first time the park has gotten a coaster this way. 2. Despite this ride being a last minute addition, it's likely going to be fairly expensive, probably around the 30 million dollar range. 3. It will probably interact with the entrance in some way. 4. The "Sometimes you have to look down for the best views..." clue is most definitely significant. Very exciting next couple of weeks ahead of us.
  20. Here's another concept that's been floating around, the Intamin Figure 8 model. I can kinda see this fitting over the entrance, what do you guys think?
  21. I really like what the park has done to develop that area over the past decade. The one thing it seems to be missing is a coaster and it looks like it'll get finally get one!
  22. Wow. I get that it's the 50th and alot of people were expecting something big, but I can't help but be shocked. If anything this definitely rules out a kiddie coaster barring something extremely unexpected.
  23. Alright so looking at this and back again at the "look down for the best views" clues, I'm almost certain that they're bringing back the hot air balloon, it just makes way too much sense given those two clues on their own.
  24. So they're kind of confirming that something will be added to the entrance? This certainly changes things.
