  1. I would say pretty soon. I'm going this weekend, so I'm gonna try to get a view of the area from the skyride to see any progress.
  2. Neil who? It may be on the website
  3. Skull Mountain has had some consistently long lines this summer I've noticed, especially early afternoon. My friend and I were gonna go on but we ot stuck in a 30 minute line, we were shocked.
  4. I think SIx Flags wants to test the whole VR thing, and skull mountain is the only one they can do it on in the park. It needs to be a ride with little to no themeing that isn't too popular because of wait times.
  5. Makes sense. Even though it will most likely never happen bc of how amazing it already is, El Toro would be a run RMC
  6. Ok thats good. It would've been so cool to see though.
  7. Yeah I'm excited. I'm heading to fright fest next weekend and I can't wait to try it.
  8. If anything we'll get an RMC trex in a few years. I don't think we'll get a hybrid. Our only shot at that would've been Rolling Thunder
  9. True but what looks like the current direction and focus of the chain plus the amount of great coasters already at the park, I would guess that the next few years are going to be focused on diversifying with flats and dark rides, which we desperately need.
  10. I don't think we'll get a new, big coaster until at least 2020+
  11. I think if anywhere, i think it would be in Old Country, fitting with the predicted DC overhaul of the area. The fenced off area is just where they took down the grandstand, and they don't want people going in the water. I don't really think there's enough room in lakefront for a whole coaster. Most likely would be the rolling thunder footprint or old country area, depending if they want it to be more like a compact invert coaster or a hyper coaster.
  12. It would be really cool if we got the first RMC T-Rex. Big crowd pleaser.
  13. Yeah we can't really predict after then. It really depends on the direction the company goes.
  14. I doubt this is gonna happen any time soon, especially under Six Flags management. It's too large of a project for one year, moving all of HH, making the park fully year round, AND a hotel, new parking lot and new entrance. It seems extremely unlikely.
  15. Hi I'm Joe. I'm 14 years old, and I moved to the area in 2008. I've been going to the park since 2010 and had a pass since 2011. I live about 20 minutes away from the park ,and it's been a huge part of my growing up. I remember it being a huge rite of passage for me and my friends to reach 54 inches, and making a huge deal out of going on Kingda Ka the first time. Everyone got the same shirts the first time we went on, and it was a really memorable experience for all of us. I just recently became an active member of the site, and I really enjoy all the interesting discussions and different points of view.
  16. Yeah I doubt we'll get an update anytime soon, if ever. It's not the best, but still a pretty fun ride
  17. Just in case anyone was interested, I found this
  18. I wanted to go, but it doesn't look like I have the chance. I would guess 29yrswithaGApass will be going.
  19. Yeah they could do an update to the whole ride with some renovations. Maybe we can add some waterfalls, some more rapids, and possibly even a drop like Kali River Rapids in Disney
  20. Yeah I guess I see what your saying. Maybe if they had some water jets at the end like they do on Sawmill it could fix the problem. I haven't been on this season, so I guess I don't really have the up-to-date experience.
  21. True, but this I'm not sure is fixable. You take most raft rides, even Kali River Rapids in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and it's always a gamble of who gets soaked and who gets out unscathed. This is a common theme among most raft rides, and I think most people have come to accept it as part of the experience. You have to kind of take a step back from the enthusiast side of it and look more as a member of the GP. I'm only 14, so it's not long ago I was still riding these rides with my whole family. It was always fun to see who would get the most wet, and we'd joke and laugh about it. And I really think that's mainly who these rides are geared towards: Families rather than enthusiasts. And I no that's no excuse, but I kinda feel that's just the way it is.
  22. I really enjoy Congo. It's a ride families love because the tubes are so big and anyone can ride it. It also just helps to balance out the park in terms of ride diversity. When Justice League comes, there's no doubt that based on the range of rides in our park that we'll cement our place as the #1 Six Flags park.
  23. Yeah such a large, complex ride as that would probably be hard to move. You'd have to dig out a new trench in HH and fill in the one in GA.
