  1. I believe there's a quote from Thrillathon where management states they're not planning on conversion or removal of Ka for the next decade at least, so no 500 foot spike just yet. This entire ordeal feels like a fever dream. Six Flags and Cedar Fair merging sounds like some 13 year old enthusiast daydream, not the actual future of both companies. I think ultimately GAdv will be a park that wins under CF style management, but I fear for the mid tier parks of both chains
  2. Not that I disagree, but if this truly was a last minute addition for 24 then next year *might* be something already forecasted out. I wouldn't for a second bet on anything coming next year at all even, but there's been a lot of buzz about the arena removal and it's hard to tell smoke from fire.
  3. Man would I be disappointed, even if this is all but confirmed I think. This park desperately needs capacity, and this is definitely not that. I'm also not a major fan of shuttle coasters, but that last roll looks fun forwards and backwards.
  4. I think if this coaster is going over the front entrance, then it's probably crossing to the area where the go-karts are now, and I'd probably expect those to be removed as a result. I can't see it jumping to the Parachutes/Twister site as some have speculated, that's just far too busy of a walkway for Six Flags to reasonably send track over. The Cotaland Vekoma Tilt is a really interesting rumor, but I can't see where that layout would fit over or near the entrance skyline much. Definitely fits the "Look Down" teaser we got, though!
  5. The Drachen Spire layout doesn't make much sense, thought? It seems to dip pretty far below station level using Busch Garden's natural terrain, but Great Adventure as a whole is pretty flat and I can't see where they could possibly fit that layout in.
  6. I'm 100% aware that a Giga or another massive investment like that is not something that Six Flags would do in this day and age. But I'm still puzzled how all these teasers fit together for next year's additions in a way that's not a sizable cash drop. At minimum I think we can expect the Log Flume overhaul, possible Big Wheel restoration and custom brick engraving for the 50th. I would consider that a solid year by Six Flags standards, but then these other teasers and construction markers point to something else too? Assuming that this most recent teaser points toward an addition to the entrance skyline, the new ride in Old Country is something of pretty big size.
  7. I will make a nice steak out of my shoes and eat them if this " leak " ends up being true. So much enthusiast bait in one post between the fabled GAdv Giga and RMC Rolling Thunder. Also, if staffing remains an issue, how are they going to open several new rides, dining options, and shows in one year? I still just expect a redone entrance plaza and maybe a new ride in Old Country.
  8. All the props were still there and set up when I went the second week of August, so I'm guessing it'll be around this Fright Fest.
  9. The entire park just needs some consistent pathways. You can basically map out the park's history management wise by what concrete is where and what condition it is. Metropolis looks brand new, Golden Kingdom and Plaza are in alright shape, Boardwalk and Frontier are in bad shape, and Adventure Alley is absolutely horrible.
  10. This is kinda hard to understand without a picture, considering I was there two days ago and looked across the entire forest without seeing this structure. Remember, there is also a terror trail that used to be where it's going, which could explain the wooden structures. Can anyone else confirm?
  11. Looks to be a little short in height but compared to other dives, but considering how much they've been adding lately and in the future this knocks it out of the park. Great addition overall!
  12. Why are there random closed days in the middle of summer? June 20th and July 3rd are both the only days closed in their respect months, which makes no sense to me.
  13. And it'll only get worse next year, as Maxx Force will almost certainly draw more crowds than Wonder Woman. GAdv has such a big market to tap into, being dead center of both NYC and Philly, but corporate refuses to make the changes that'll bring in crowds.
  14. HitP is only really that busy during the week break between Christmas and New Year, when everyone is off work and school. Considering how the park is not very full the other 95% of the time, i'm not sure it'd be worth it from the park's perspective to staff and maintain another large section of the park when it'd sit almost completely empty during the rest of the event. Plus, I'm pretty sure Toro is very temperamental in the cold, Ka is notoriously unstable even in optimal conditions, and Zu would not be fun that high up in the cold. 3/4 major rides closed, leaving a very empty area of the park.
