  1. No law suits that I know of. It's a job that is primarily based on your looks in entertainment. They don't make you list your weight, or age. But they do want your height, measurements, and yes, you have to look a certain way. I got one denial back saying "posterior too large". We reshot my photos a few weeks later (I didn't lose weight, but the lighting the first time around made my butt look huuuuge), and I was approved. Some are denied (as WW) because they sound too young, too short, too fat, wrong eye shadow (honest!), etc. initial approval is through six flags corporate, then they send it up the chain to D.C. And with Disney- they measure symmetry of face and all
  2. While they've tried to hire them for a long while, the search hasn't been as active as it is now
  3. They brought them in from another location. D.C. has had GA try to find people- it's somewhat of an active request. Hasn't happened for Great Adventure.
  4. Thanks! I was there from 2007-2013. I was a rollerblading drummer in the parade in 08, and wonder woman in the parade for successive years until its completion. I was actually hired there as a tech- doing pyro and lighting for dead man's, sound for temple of the tiger (and some edutaining), and other stuff here and there. But my time was primarily spent as wonder woman.
  5. I was one of the superheroes- I did it for about 8 seasons. We kind of all left right around the same time for various reasons (full time jobs, weight gain, etc). I know for me, I wanted to go out while I was still approved by DC Comics ( we had to get approved every calendar year), and I (along with the rest of us) was getting older. I finished my Master's degree during my time at the park, got a full time job, and decided to do roller derby instead. Six Flags also said Wonder Woman couldn't have bruises, and DC owns the rights to your image (how you look) while you're approved, and I couldn't do promo for roller derby as a result, so that was that. The villains (I was also Cheetah) just didn't hit that well, with the exception of the Joker & the Riddler. It was a short run for them.
  6. Sci Fi is still in the park... hiding. And fully operational. :-P
  7. I'd bet money on the fact that that's Erika
  8. That's so awesome! The second I saw that picture, I knew. I was born in 85 and have always lived only 2 miles from the park, so my parents used to take me a good deal. This is from when Bugs Bunny Land used to be (pretty much) where the Golden Kingdom is now. I remember the Lady Bug ride, the big climb-able jungle gym (maybe it's cause I was a kid, but it seemed SO much better than Balin's Jungleland), and I was completely obSESSED with the "Magic Hands". It was like something out of a fairytale. It came to life. I completely forgot about it until I saw that picture!
