  1. I have an office in my house that has nothing but pictures of us at many amusement parks (Gadv, CP, Hershey, KI, KD, etc...) and most of them are "on ride photos"... I probably have 40 of them in frames with over 1/2 of "on ride photos"

I just have to take them out of the frames and scan them.

The Gadv ones I have are (i believe..) 3 of GASM, 3 of El Toro, 3 of KK, 2 of TDK, 1 Log Flume, 1 Bizarro, 1 Medusa, 1 Nitro

I could have more I have not hung yet.

  2. Currently, the park could be able to run a monorail to serve guests between the dry park and the water park but the concern is efficiency and cost. A tram or bus could be feasible though.

They do have a shuttle bus that goes from the front of the park to the water park to the parking lot where parents can drop and pick up their kids. We have used it a few times.

  3. Well I am doing the "lose weight and get in better shape". This time I signed up for Weight Watchers online. It worked when I lost weight when turning 40 so now i'm doing it before I hit 50. Need to lose 25-30 lbs in 4 months.

My second is being nicer to my wife (but I don't think I can keep that resolution since we have been married for almost 22 years and been with her since 1987)

  4. If I see one on the shelf next year I might get it. It's not worth it to me to wait in line for hours for it like people were at Toys R Us for Sunday and I still have my original NES and games.

That was a smart move keeping your NES system. I wish that I did that... Along with my XBOX, Turbografx, 3DO, and SNES

  5. How about a second wave pool... Dorney Park has on which sees to help out there... plus I would like to see one like the one at Typhoon Lagoon where you would one giant wave every 90 seconds

Another mat racer would also be nice... higher capacity

.... my bad... thought you meant for water park (got too excited when I saw "water ride")

I do miss the 2nd log flume though. I know that people are taking them out of the parks recently but it is always a nice ride to get away from the extreme thrill rides. I would like one with it partly indoors with some nice theming.

  6. I have gone both in mid June and Late May... Also stayed both on and off resort. I preferred late August and staying on resort. When you split the cost of the hotel room with other people it is worth the higher price. You also get in the park an hour early and can hit the selected rides that are open early then hit the other rides right when the park opens to the general public. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The park did close earlier (I believe 8pm) but we were able to hit all the coasters and some flat rides in one day. Hit the water park the next day and went back to the park later in the day.

It was also easier when staying in the park since you can go back to the room at any time. We brought lunch meat and bread in a cooler and another cooler with "beverages" and left the in the room. That did save us money.

Also when someone (not me) was not feeling well after riding some coasters (and had a few too much to drink the night before) he was able to go back to room while we stayed at the park. It was also nice to take break from riding and hit the beach during the afternoon to recoup.

  7. The whole Gotham City/Movie Town section along with Whistlestop Park there will be closed meaning Joker's Jinx, Superman, and Batwing will be closed.

3 of my favorite rides there!.. Was thinking about going this year also. We still might plan a weekend down in D.C. in December and still hit the park for 1/2 day.

  8. Nice trip report. Have not been at the park since 2007 and was planning to go this year but with my daughter getting ready for college and my dad staying with us for the summer, was not able to go... That actually was true for all the parks this year though. And now my son works at T.J. Maxx part time and usually works weekends so I don't know when I could get back to the parks again.

  9. Since I do the Christmas shopping I don't mind Black Friday. I will admit I liked it a lot better when stores where closed on Thanksgiving and open up at 5am on Friday. It was not as bad then but now from 4pm to midnight on Thanksgiving its crazy.

A few years ago I was in Virginia and went to Peebles on Thanksgiving evening (There is not much where my dad lives). Next morning I drive to Henderson NC (45 minutes from my dad's house) and Walmart at 8am was almost empty. And they did have some deals left over. Also went to Game Stop and no one was in there either.

Last year I went to Walmart here, Tmobile and gamestop Friday morning starting at 8am and they were all empty also. Then I headed to NJ and hit the Outlet mall by Gadv and it was packed so I went to Gadv to spend Black Friday there.

I think since a lot of stores opened up on Thanksgiving it did not seem as bad Friday morning... but that could have been just me.
