gafreak
This map is one of the worst that ive ever seen Great Adventure put out. Theres nothing good about it and shows complete lack of pride in the park!

29yrswithaGApass
^^ That's my least favorite pamphlet map too. And although I loved it when they reintroduced the poster size park maps, I think the 2006 and 2007 ones were my least favorite because they were too artistic and not that accurate. My favorite poster map is the one from 1976 (reduced size sample below). We have large format scans of all the poster and pamphlet size maps for the last 35 years which we will be sharing probably this winter. We have to resolve an upload issue because the files are huge. We want to leave them full size so you can see all the details and the wording on the maps.

29yrswithaGApass
I think this year's pamphlet maps were by far THE best! I hope they give Hurricane Harbor's map the same treatment in 2010.
ThemeParkRider
Yes, a nice balance of art and accuracy is the perfect match. Now, I would like things to be easier to read. Usually, I just find the image or logo for each attraction.
gafreak
Ya the 09 maps are pretty good, but im a fan of the older onens from the 80's! Edited November 21, 2009 by gafreak
ThemeParkRider
I love that one. It has every last detail in it. Although, when I look at it I get a headach because of the cluster of trees and buildings in it.
gafreak
But when the park approved it , it was well worth the time they put into it, shows that tey really cared about the park.
ThemeParkRider
I agree, it not only shows care for Great Adventure, it shows respect. Unlike the first map in the forum, they actually worked hard on this, not got a 2 year old to throw this together 5 days ahead of time! The Master
The first map that was posted is pretty bad but that is how GAdv was ran in the 90s, with a I don't care type of attitude. I have one of those 80s maps, man do I miss 80s era GAdv. This year map is pretty nice, looks like it was designed by the same people who made Hershey's recent maps. gafreak
I dont know who does our maps now but they did a good job on the 09 map!
ThemeParkRider
I hope they do the same next year. And maybe they'll show the Parachute the way it is ment to look.
gafreak
The company who designs all six flags maps is called the Willow gropup, i think they do a great job and we should stick with them.
Thunderbolt
Did Great Adventure have the poster sized maps for 2009 (ala 2006, 2007, and I think 2008)? Or, was it only the pamphlet fold-out version?

scottcook123456
I have a funny map of the park back in I think 94. They had tons of cartoonish characters and just silly stuff on the map. Did they ever do it again, and why did they stop? scott
