After seeing Islands of Adventure (which opened in 1999), Kiernan Burke tried to make a last minute theming change of Hurricane Harbor to be similar to the Orland park. However, the park's design was too far along and opened less than a year later in May 2000. You surely can see Islands of Adventure's influence on the entrance gate.
