The amazing Wildwoods.This...is the cool Wawa. All other Wawa's cry theirselves to sleep.They sure do know how to theme a city.Normal people stay in the crappy small rooms. I get the apartment at the end. Most reviews I hear of it make it sound above average but it is my #3 or #4 wooden coaster. Seeing these pictures make me wish I had gotten to Morey's this year. I used to go down to Wildwood every other summer for a few days back in the 70s and early 80s. Morey's Pier was the best of the piers. There was an awesome pizza joint across the boardwalk near the Morey's Pier entrance. They also had a great Italian ice store on the boardwalk just north of Morey's. Nothing like a slice or two of pizza, riding a bunch of cool rides and then an Italian ice before heading back to the motel. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's still right near the entrance of the original pier (now called Surfside Pier I think) and I ate there twice this past week during my vacation. BTW that pier is my favorite also because of its combination of thrills in "it", the Great Nor'easter, and AtmosFear plus the log flume is my favorite one I've ever ridden.
