29yrswithaGApass
Does anyone have any photos, information, or memories of the NJ State Fair at Great Adventure in the early 80s? I can remember the event being held throughout the park and parking lots. It was the only time in GA history when guests had to use tickets to ride the rides. Similar to boardwalk attractions, guests bought ticket books and used 1 to 5 tickets to ride the rides. Season pass holders were given blue wristbands that allowed for unlimited rides. 29yrswithaGApass
The New Jersey State Fair made its grand debut 28 years ago tomorrow on Friday September 10th, 1982! Here is a flyer that was given to the press explaining the day's highlights.
RobertDavid
I didn't care much for the fair being held at the park. Half the fun of a fair are the carnival rides, carnies, and carnival atmosphere. It was kinda boring going to the fair and riding all the same rides we rode every day, in the same atmosphere. It also seemed like there was not enough space for all the exhibits the State Fair usually has.
