batmanrobinchiller
I always begged my parents to let me play with the boats! I'm glad to see the spotlights are back up after last week's craziness.
29yrswithaGApass
^ It is hard to do Spotlights without electric! I would imagine the bottom of the Lake Front Remote Boats pond was actually the concrete pad for the Condor ride and they simply added the walls around it to turn it into a pit. I remember them still building this on opening day in 1988 and was really disappointed that a good ride like the Condor was replaced with something so simple. Yoshi
It looks like the props for the boats were much better in past years and it is cool to see a picture of the old setup with the car track going around the boat area. I wish it was still like that. Usually once a season I stop at the boats. The monster trucks in Adventure Alley don't seem as popular as the boats either. 29yrswithaGApass
While the controls for the remote boats have been removed, it looks like some new spray nozzles are being added as well as a fountain spout near the center of the pond.
