Thrills by Day, Fright by Night

What:

Six Flags Great Adventure, the world’s largest “scream” park, celebrates its 22nd-annual Fright Fest Halloween festival with 25 seasonally-themed shows and attractions in addition to the world’s best lineup of thrill rides.

 

Location:

Six Flags Great Adventure, America’s largest regional theme park. Jackson, New Jersey - off exit 7A of the NJ Turnpike to I-195 East (exit 16A - Rt. 537 West).

Or, take exit 98 off the Garden State Parkway (I-195 West) to exit 16.

 

Operating Dates and Hours – Weekends Sept. 13 through Oct. 27, 2013

Friday Evenings: Sept. 13 – 5:30 to 10 p.m.; Sept. 20, 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 – 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Saturdays: Sept. 14 – 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sept. 21, 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 – 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sundays: Sept. 15 – 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sept. 22, 29 – 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.;

‘Thrills by Day’— Attractions Geared to Families

• NEW! Monster Maze—Kids and kids-at-heart can find their way through this new corn maze with surprises

from some of Halloween’s most famous characters.

• NEW! Doc Snooker’s Halloween Time Machine—Go back in time with hilarious Doc Snooker to reincarnate some of Halloween’s most notorious characters (begins Sept. 20).

• Trick-or-Treat Trail—Trick-or-treating and meet-and-greets with the Looney Tunes characters.

• Professor Slithers’ Creepy Critters—The zany professor hosts this animal show featuring snakes and reptiles.

• The Spooky Kooky Magic Show—Kids’ magic show featuring master illusionist Doc Swan.

• Six Flags Spooktacular Street Party—Street dance party featuring Halloween hits.

• Seafari Theater—Animal presentation featuring Asian small-clawed otters.

• Dawn of the Dead & Local—Live music showcase from local artists.

• Sea Lion Scary Tales—Halloween-themed sea lion show.

 

‘Fright by Night’ Monstertainment—Shows Geared to Teens & Adults

• The Awakening—At the stroke of 6 p.m., Ghoulmaster leads a horde of nearly 200 zombies to awaken Dr. Fright and unleash “Fright by Night.”

• Dead Man’s Party—Fright Fest’s signature song and dance production features two unique, rotating shows: the classic show featuring more than a decade of timeless hits and “The Guest List” featuring new songs and eye-popping choreography.

• Ghoulmaster’s Ghosts—Dance and multimedia stage spectacular features new music and surprises.

• Circus of Thrills—Heart-stopping circus acts including the “globe of death,” “wheel of destiny” and sway poles.

• Doc Swan’s Freak Show—Amazing feats and ghastly freaks.

• Dead & Local Music Showcase—Live music showcase featuring dark, local rockers.

 

Scare Zones – Begin at 6:30 p.m.

• NEW! Straw-Man Stalkers—Scarecrows and other evil creatures plague a Lakefront corn maze.

• Bone Butcher Terror-Tory—Western zombies terrorize the entrance of Frontier Adventures.

• The Bloody Fountain—Colonial zombies roam the Liberty fountain and Main Street area.

• Circus Psycho—Zombie clowns have taken over the Boardwalk section.

 

Terror Trails, Mazes and Haunted Houses – Additional Fee

• NEW! Total Darkness—Plunge into a complete blackout where the fear of the unknown terrorizes the senses. Opens at 2 p.m.

• NEW INDOOR LOCATION! The Manor—The zombie-infested halls of The Manor are a gauntlet of gore from which visitors must escape. Opens at 2 p.m.

• Voodoo Island—Voodoo practitioners have become demonically possessed through ritual incantation on this remote island hideaway. Begins after dark.

• Asylum—Enter the surreal, demon-infested nightmares of one of the Asylum’s inmates. Try to escape this labyrinth of terror. Begins after dark.

• Wasteland—Toxic spillage, contamination and nuclear fallout plague this wasteland of mutants. Begins after dark.

The Haunted Heist – Guests can creep through a laser maze to reach cursed artifacts as they challenge their friends to a race, or face the fright alone. Operates continuously.

 

Ghoul Rules

  • A zombie’s job is to scare you—not the reverse. Guests who taunt, touch or yell at zombies or other guests will be ejected from the park without a refund.
  • Do not touch or remove props, scenery, webbing or landscaping. Damage to park property is cause for ejection without a refund.
  • Masks or face coverings, costumes and full-face makeup are not permitted on anyone over the age of 12. Guests will be required to remove such items for safety reasons.
  • In response to Guests’ requests for a scarier “Fright by Night,” ghoul repellent whistles are no longer available.
  • “Fright by Night” begins at 6 p.m. and is not recommended for children under 12 and those who scare easily.

Right Stuff building is only thing I can think of that's big enough for two. Exploratorium could hold one but there's no queue there really.

I'm sure if it was there they would find a way to make a queue, there is probably enough room to make one.
